They are employing a tactic I call "Discourage, Frustrate, and Delay."

You call them, they say you didn't sign this or that.  Then you call again and it's something else.  On and on and on.

They're going full court press on this.  Not only did they succeed in making the CCW permit worthless as a wooden penny, but they also probably put the most disorganized, inept, and scatterbrained person in charge of CCW approval.

All of this my opinion, of course.  But I've seen these tactics employed before.

I definitely remember him saying this.  And I will definitely remember with my vote if or when he seeks other office or re-election.

Interesting.  Based on feedback on this forum there are members who applied earlier and are still waiting.  As far as I know they haven't been informed why or only find out discrepancies when they call in to inquire.

If there is some kind of hold up for whatever reason they should be notified.  If they are being notified, then I retract my statement however this doesn't seem to be the case with some members.  They applied earlier than Feb.

Got 2 friends submitted last week of jan still waiting. Both had to come back 12 weeks after initial drop off due to "missing" stuff.

That, or maybe;

New application -- start on first page.
Missing a copy of something -- put in in the stack to contact applicant.
Missing a signature -- put in in the stack to contact applicant.
Guy who contacts applicants for missing stuff comes in on Wednesdays for half a day.  Makes calls and leaves.  If he's on vacation, the applications sit in his box another week or two.
Once all required forms and signatures are submitted, request background check info from HMOs, doctors, health dept, FBI, criminal records division, etc.
Now wait indefinitely until those agencies and businesses respond. 
Once all responses are received, do a complete review of all paperwork.  If anything needs remedying, put it in the Wednesday guy's in-box.
Once the discrepancies are corrected, do another full review, start to finish, in case you missed something in the previous reviews.  If you find any "new" problems previously overlooked, it goes back into the Wednesday guy's pile.
If all is completed, send the application to the Police Chief for final review and approval/rejection.  Wait indefinitely for the application to be returned.

That's what I'm envisioning anyway.

Great attitude stang!   Although I detected a bit of sarcasm in your post I don't blame you one bit.  I hope you get your notification to go pick up your permit soon.  And this goes for all the others who have been waiting for so long.

And for all of the people who supported and succeeded in enacting these ridiculous and violation of rights gun control measures I hope you and your loved ones do not fall victim because of the very laws you have pushed.  Even wild animals will bite your hand off in your effort to feed them when they're hungry.  Just like criminals, they do not discriminate.  All are fair game.

Except it looks like they (criminals) seem to hold an advantage.

If i didnt have family obligations keeping me here, I would move to Arizona or some other free state a long time ago. Maybe when I retire I'll move to someplace where I can shoot in my backyard and race my Mustangs at a local track. The 2 things that matter the most to me I cant do here. But maybe one day.....

U missed the ET interview with "the veteran". Went something along the lines

Ren refers to me as living in "green acres".
I too can shoot in my yard but don't,  as I don't want to scare my animals
or my neighbors animals.
Cows will go through or over a 4 foot fence like it isn't there.

Many of my neighbors don't bother to go to the Hilo track,
they use the main road.
After 1930 hours the cops dispatch out of Hilo some 50 miles away but they have more important
things to deal with than street racers.
Guys that live here locally, have to interrupt dinner.
If there isn't anybody hurt or dead it can wait.
