We are seeing other org's wanting to take freedoms away from people. Like the Retail Merchants of Hawaii who doesnt want a ccw holder to stop a mall shooter in seconds, but wait for the police to arrive.

They never elaborated on the causes or types of "workplace violence" they see supposedly warrant "concern"

Is workplace violence on the rise, or is it just the concern about it that's rising? 

Sounds like another fear/feeling being exploited to push a "no defensive weapons anywhere" agenda.
