If I'm reading it correctly, you don't need a handgun safety class to get a CCW.

Word from HPD firearms front desk is no one is approved as there has to be a new chiefs rules hearing. So take what Butch says with a grain of salt. Per them, no instructor has been able to apply yet due to the hearing that must take place. Normally, the front desk people don't know much, but I have confidence in what was being said as they had to make sure accurate information was relayed.
