My daughter's co-worker gave her some frozen otaru (large aku) tail end pieces.

She didn't want it and asked me if I wanted it.  I of course said yes. :D

Simple pan fry or I might broil it and serve it on a bed of chopped cabbage with wasabi/shoyu dipping sauce and hot rice.

I know my mout going broke.

Aku sounds really good🤙
Not cooking today.
I got too much leftover stuff in the frig.
But I still might make some miso soup.

As part of my dinner I will make a chocolate / peanut butter shake similar to what the old
KC drive in used to have. I had some tough chores to do so I deserve it. I tried to make the
shake just slightly more healthy.

Crush 3-4 cups ice in the blender
Add:
2&1/2 TBS peanut butter powder
2 TBS honey
2 TBS Coco powder
1&1/2 cups macnut milk ( you can substitute soy or almond milk)
1&1/2 TBS your fav. peanut butter ( I like chunky natural )
Blend until its as smooth as you prefer

i've gotten hooked on quesadillas lately.  Last night was steak and cheese which is also lunch today.

Easy, quick, cheap and versatile.  Just cheese as a late night snack or light meal.  Seasoned taco or fajita meat using burger, shabu shabu steak or chicken.

Add your favorite salsa, picante, sour cream or other topping.  I toast mine in a cast iron skillet with butter.  Folding the tortilla in half over the stuffings makes them easier to flip

Also can add ham, egg and American cheese for a breakfast quesadilla.

There's enough variety and ease of cleanup to appeal when i don't really feel like cooking something more involved.

Looks like we got a lot of talented cooks on this forum.  I just finished an early dinner.  Stir fry spicy ika from the Korean restaurant.

I had a 2 lb Maine lobster and rice.

If anybody wants live Maine lobster, 2 to 3 lb size, I can get it for $16.68/lb, but must buy minimum of two.
