Yup they are doing what a lot of anti-firearms advocates are.  Throwing stuff out there and sooner or later all that people remember is the BS.
Yup!

Hitlers quotes are scary......

, why does the military employ the use of Xbox controllers to operate their drones?
because maybe they're ergonomically designed, control both axes very well, do everything that's required when operating a drone, and most importantly, are really cheap and required no additional engineering or work put in by the military itself?  honestly, i think the latter is the biggest reason.

Well, I can't either.

Have not been to a theater in 20 years, or watched anything remotely new on TV.

well, in a society of pop culture, naming movies from the 90's when you're doing a press conference of this level of importance is just bad.  cmon.  he couldnt have said ANYTHING else?  i mean, Saw?  Hostel? any recent remake of a 70's or 80's horror movie?  300?  Kill Bill?  Battle Royale?  just, cmon, there's tons of violent movies from this century, make yourself look like you havent lived under a rock for 15 years.

no, aside from the last shot about it being cheap, im just throwing out possibilities.  xbox controllers are easy to use and ergonomically designed, and makes sense if you're controlling something in a 3d space.  it makes sense to me why they'd try to use it.  its simplistic, and probably very easy to teach someone how to use it vs a more specialized control system.  pretty much everyone knows how to use a controller now a days, at least talking about the general military demographic.

What the NRA should had said

1. that the shooter tried to get guns legally but decline because of the background check.

2.The killer willing to kill his own mother to get guns.

3. The shooter was mentally ill to the point he was not able to differentiate reality or fantasy.

Maybe this vid  could explain it better if you can see the parallel

Trying to blame it entirely on videogames and movies(which are outdated) makes them look petty
