General Discussion / Re: BNR Tactical FFL transfers
« on: March 18, 2023, 01:17:25 AM »
I was only told when the it did not come with a magazine when I went down to the shop. BNR said Buds, Midway, and Optic Planet don't ship mags with greater than 10-round capacity, but when I had a SCAR 16 from Buds transferred to HGS I got the 30-round magazine with it. Buds offered me a $30 coupon or a TEAM BUDS year-long membership, I took the membership and they said they will contact the manufacturer to get a magazine shipped to me.

Anybody had a firearm, specifically, a long gun shipped/transferred to BNR Tactical, and did not receive a "high-capacity" (+10 rounds) magazine? I spoke with Budsgunshop and they said my order was supposed to have the magazine. This is the second time I had a long gun transfer have a magazine "missing."  ??? ??? ???

Firearms and Accessories / 1911 9mm compensator
« on: August 23, 2020, 01:14:06 PM »
Just bought a Dan Wesson discretion, looking if anyone knows good compensators or has experience with attaching compensators on threaded barrels for 9mm?
Looking for info on threaded compensators not the bushing style compensators and if threaded compensators will damage the finish on the slide?

Mahalo!

Question: How does the process of selling firearms to HI residents with a valid long gun permit work, especially during this whole COVID fiasco?

Anyone has a clue what this could mean? I’m praying it’s gonna go revert back to the pre-COVID registration/permit system.

“According to HPD” - question: were you advised verbally or were you given written notice to re-register?

I was advised verbally something like “make sure you come back after you put the barrel so we can register the caliber”

General Discussion / Regarding KHSC rules
« on: June 26, 2020, 11:39:18 AM »
So KHSC laws/rules states that can’t use unregistered long guns after ‘94. I have a lower that I registered a month ago and have recently attached the upper but have to “re-register” for the barrel/caliber according to HPD. Can I still use that firearm since it’s “registered.” Also has anyone just slapped an upper while on the range, has any of the range officers prohibited that action? Curious because I wanna try out my 450 bushmaster and 6.5 Grendel uppers.

General Discussion / Re: Hpd permit question
« on: May 23, 2020, 04:21:52 PM »
Last time I went (two weeks ago), they said no need appointment for pick-up as long as within the 7 day period to which pick ups are good for.

I went to renew my long gun permit about a week ago, and one of the officers said I didn't need to make an appointment to pick up, as long as I pick up within the given 5-day time frame. Oh well, now I gotta tell my girl that I have to buy a gun on the 26th since I made a registration appointment the same day I submitted an appointment for permit acquirement because I too was unsure about pick-ups needing appointments, but now I know no need. Hopefully, my "AR-14" PSA lower comes before the 26th.

Was wondering the going rate for spent brass casings (once fired, primer in)? Especially for 9mm, 556, 308. Looking to sell but don’t know how much to charge.   :shaka:
