There is one school of thought, that the lower doesnt shoot, andnit too, shouldnt be registered.  If you separate the halves, neither will function. Symbiotic relationship. Old Gene Stoner was legendary.

Registration is an infringement! Leads to confiscation orders.

Legal and Activism / Re: SCOTUS Denies all 10 2A cases
« on: August 14, 2020, 07:48:04 PM »
Nothing he can do, the president has zero power over the supreme court beyond picking the justices.

The SCOTUS gets thousands of requests to hear cases every year and they have to pick less than 100 to decide upon. Even decent cases have the odds against them. There is a lot that goes into deciding whether the SCOTUS will take a case.
100 to 150.
The thing that grinds my gears, is they denied to hear cases pertaining to ACTUAL constitutional rights, but decided to change the verbage of the civil rights act to remove genders, in favor of those who are confused.   That has NOTHING to do with the constitution in my eyes.  If you want to change your name, parts, preference, et al, do it. Its your right. Nothing says you cant do that. Life, liberty, and prosperity. You do you, boo boo.  Im not stopping you. I wont pay for it either. That's final.

Maybe im harsh, but their job is to interpret laws with the constitution to see if it sticks with rule of law, and stop infringements of citizens rights. Not sure their work has anything to do with their actual job anymore

The democrats here are brilliant. I mean how else would they be able to run a state into the ground and still garner the support that they have? It’s their supporters who are fucken idiots.
That is how the party is on mainland too!

Hey guys, im super stoked that Commiefornia lost, and the residents have won some of their rights back

I had a question, but a post answered it for me. Gotta wait for the dust to settle, then we collectively submit requests to match circuit policy, and if they decline, file lawsuit. Thanks!
Hopefully Becerra stops his losing battle and lets it be.

Of all things we learned in HS Government class, this is not ringing a memory on how it works.

All i can say, is if this does get appealed and taken to SCOTUS, they do their danged job and affirm the lower courts rulings, meaning we ALL win!

General Discussion / Re: Republicans against Trump

What shook some of his support currently (in my opinion) is the lack up in till recently not suppressing yhe riots. And while I understand is that this is a local issue not a federal issue. Most people don't understand that. Also two of Trumps largest successes the economy and have been impacted by the coronavirus. The more Trump controls these three things the better he will do in the next election.
Youre hands would be tied too, if two mega billionaires were funding  out of staters to come and start crap, members of Congress condoning it, and governors/mayors allowing it.

I'm in.  My goal is to become an NRA and tactical instructor and start a simulator training business here.

PM me, I suggest John Lovell, Warrior Poet Society, Taran Tactical and Raidon Tactics.

Marshall safe training is who I was going to train for a NRA Instructor License.

Those are good dudes.  I would consider Baret Fawbush, in Indiana, as well as Reid Henrichs out in TN. Clint at Thunder Ranch would be great too.

Hi there!

I am bored, sitting in "quarantine" and catching up on a lot of youtube.

Anyhow, the vid i watched, Garand Thumb talked about rifle setups. I believe a 16" barrel will do both.  He has a Badger Ordnance scope mount that comes with a 45 degree mount for red dots. You can rock a primary arms 1-10x optic for scope or scope of choice,  and just rotate weapon for up close shots through a dot.  That way, you can cover up close well out to 600 yards if need be.

I thought it was a great idea for a rifle setup, but you may prefer something else.

Thank you all!

I've been gone off of here for a hot minute.
This site needs a forum post notification lol.
Yeah, I think Hawaii extorting us for money for RAPBACK is lame. They already have access to NICS and FBI databases. I digress.
It is a nice rifle, but I will have to wait, it seems.
I greatly appreciate all of your replies, info, and links! Great resources for later use.

General Discussion / New here!

Hello everyone of 2AH!

I recently received PCS orders to Oahu for my final tour. O0
I have been looking around to see if a PTR GIR in .308 is legal to bring to island.
I have browsed on HGL, the state law page itself, and things are vague. murky at best.
From my understanding, only 10 round mag restrictions are for pistols.

but I just seen this come across. bad news!
https://www.nraila.org/articles/20200305/hawaii-senate-passes-mag-ban-ammo-restrictions
I guess they didnt hear that the CA background check and permit to purchase ammo was thrown out by 9th circuit recently. (HI falls under 9th)

Thanks in advance!
