« on: October 27, 2025, 06:53:08 PM »
Let me know when you bring this out to KR3 im willing to pay $$ or bring my own ammo to try this… im saving up for a large frame gasser or a good bolt gun next year. Stuck between the MARS H 20” 6.5, MRGG S, and an ATXC. Very differing guns but. Im interested in the MRGG S for the tri phase gas port whatever.

Testing NAS3 cases mainly for competition use where brass pick up isnt possible or ideal due to time constraints

Out of my DD 16 inch
Sierra 77gr Cannelure, 2770 FPS Avg. Still under the 5.56 max pressure according to QL.

Compared to the Brass case on the left going 2700 running ~2000psi hotter according to QL

Going to try Nosler 70gr RDF soon.

I'm just curious if all the "Molon Labe/I will not comply" people will actually follow through with their declaration of non-compliance or if it's just empty words.

Well I cannot buy a whole ton of P mags now

New draft CD1, inheritance is added for "assault rifles".  But not for mags.

About 20 pro 2A in person at the hearing and like 10 anti 2A.

Next is a senate floor vote. The senate president can still kill the bill by not allowing the floor vote. He was trying to get mags grandfathered as well.  Thanks to HIFICO director John Abott who spend time talking with him in person about this bill.

Garcia was the only no vote for the bill.

I love how they know there are opposing people attending, and in theory know how much people wrote their opposition… they still voted yes to pass it up? There goes my plan to buy a whole bunch of PMAGS

Legal and Activism / Importing magazines into state w blocker
« on: March 27, 2024, 11:33:47 AM »
Say if I go to a state where handgun mags can hold 10+. Could I buy magazines up there and before I fly back here I put a blocker (rod binded to spring that blocks follower from going down past 10 rounds, and epoxy the basepad) to make it permanent?

Might be a common suggestion here and this us my response
“Buy the factory 10 rounders”, those are short magazines 126mm and I like 140mm length for competition here and in general.

I have extra magazine rod blockers, i can buy epoxy so i wont have to pay a FFL/ gun store.

Legal and Activism / Re: FIRE MISSION ASSAULT WEAPON BAN HEARING 2/14 @3PM
« on: February 14, 2024, 07:46:25 PM »
Recap for those who cannot watch the hearing.

Komrade Rhodes stated, this bill is  balance between a knife and like a bomb. It draws the line on what people shouldn't own. No, that isn't correct. SCOTUS decided "in common use" draws the line. And with 24 million of these types of rifles in legal ownership in the USA, this is why SCOTUS ruled. Komrade Karl is acting like a dictator and so is their commitee. We don't listen to what the people want (majority of testimony was against the bill), instead we do what we feel is needed for our own reasons.

He also stated no one goes hunting with a 50 cal cause you would destroy the animal.

The committee skipped some testifiers due to "running out of time".

"The Veteran" was there and so was the "suicide" daughters mom who was on zoom.

I'll post the count later.

From here on, how do we improve on how we can go against this? Cause this bill has to go through more hearings correct?

General Discussion / Re: Bonding over firearms + Important
« on: February 13, 2024, 08:00:58 PM »
....
Socializing is one of the best reasons that I have for shooting guns. In my life, I have socialized with tennis players, hot rod car fanatics, co-workers, and gun guys. I seem to get along best with gun enthusiasts. Why?

I think we are more mature and responsible than most other groups. ...mostly.

This forum is a good place to meet people with a common interest. Before covid, we had gatherings at the range. Shooting clubs always had events there. We have been there for many decades. I've made many great friends through the gun community.

Describe your field of interest and go to the range. Be polite and you can make life-long friends. Join a club.

One of my main reasons to REALLY getting into firearms was to go shoot with my dad and shoot at the action bay at koko head. Ive made a few friends, and they help

General Discussion / Bonding over firearms + Important
« on: February 09, 2024, 09:54:10 PM »
I know there are many families and individuals out there that bond over the use of firearms with their family, friends, potential significant other, co workers, and etc.

I know there are people out there that firearms are a way to destress during their work week or through life or its a great way to have a few laughs whilst socializing about or near firearms.

Also remember to Submit AGAINST SB3196 if any of this above applies to you, I think this is another good reason
https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session/measure_indiv.aspx?billtype=SB&billnumber=3196&year=2024
- make an account
- follow the link
- click submit testimony and enter bill SB3196 then press continue
- obviously go against this bill...
-- testify why you are against this bill

I know the possible argument is that this might not even go through by how terribly unconstitutional it is but if we don't speak out (which I observe has been the common trend) it will have a higher chance of happening...

Anyone know how I can casually talk to someone about my interest in firearms? Do you hide it from others that you meet in life? Do you passively/actively try to educate others on firearms and its importance? I would like to get more people in my live involved with it.

Applications/ take away
- you can have your AR. Just has to be a m16 style rifle stock (complies with the 3a listed in this bill)
- you cant have a pistol grip (say bye to a firing hand grip)
- no hand stop, hand brake, foregrip, andgle fore grip
- no flash hider, muzzle brake, compensator... just bare barrel
- You will have to wear GLOVES hand guards will not be allowed
- no bayonet mount (collector/history guys this applies to you)
- grenade launcher mount
- threaded barrel.

Legal and Activism / Re: HIFICO Donations for 10rd pistol mag lawsuit
« on: February 06, 2024, 03:05:56 PM »
Going by memory here so it may not be accurate:

The 9th made no decision and kicked it back to the CA court (Judge Benitez).  The hearing has been held, and he has yet to issue his ruling.

But we don't call him St. Benetiz for nothing as he rules for the constitution. So I'm sure CA will appeal to the 9th and the corrupt will rule or delay pending some other BS case.

So in theory, if the ban in Cali eventually gets uplifted it could help our case here.
