I am playing around with laser stippling (various intesity/duration/pulse) and as nice as it looks, it is hard to get the same tactile improvement you would out of an analog stipple using a wood iron for example. The reason being the lack of displaced material. The laser will vaporize the polymer for the most part. If you can make larger portions of negative, then there is a minor improvement in grip. Laser stippling definitely tends to be more aesthetically pleasing in general.

I say we should let people ride in the back of trucks and we should let people ride in cars without seatbelts if they want.  Why are we trying to save these morons and take away freedoms everyone should have.  If you want to be stupid and are not hurting anyone, be stupid.  This is AMERICA god damn it!

I have personnaly always believe in thinning the heard and letting stupid people die if they want!  You pays your monies and you takes your chances.  It's a basic rule of life.

Kaneohe GS lost me as a customer a while back. I live right down the street and own a lot of the items they carry, but I'd gladly drive to YG or OGC to give them the biz instead.

I wonder how many of those voting "Not Strict Enough" are even cued into what goes into our existing gun laws? I'm betting that vote means less about how strict they know our laws to be and more about whether they're just anti-gun or not. At least the educated half are starting to get their votes in too now. Good work 2a.

Firearms and Accessories / Re: What weaponlight are you running?
« on: June 06, 2012, 09:22:26 AM »

As soon as the new X300 comes out I'm buying one.  I think it's a good choice for a rifle, but need to check the spread of the beam at distance.  With a handgun that new light might be too much output.  I'm thinking you can blind yourself with splashback of the light off close objects with 500 candela.

Werd. Well if it's a nice focused light and provided I can get at least 2 hours of runtime outta it, I would definitely jump on that as well. 500 is a sick amount of output for a light that size.
