Took my time w/ Standpaper and a 1x3 Stick and feel it turned out well.

Figured while I was at it I'd undercut the Trigger guard also with a Pen...  It feels so much better in my hands now.

How did you avoid hitting the checkering?

Same grit question as above.  Plastic always seems to leave "whiskers"  when I sand it.

I used 150 grit,  I put 3 layers of painters tape over anything I didnt want sanded and used the 1 x 3 x 5 stick to "ride" the tops if the points to remove them as evenly as I could.  Thinking of ways to connect the texturing but honestly I can live with this for now.
