So I mentioned my gas price increase in the other page.  But I did a quick google and the US gets about 7% of it's oil from the Strait and of which 3% of the US uses it for gasoline purposes.  So why the heavy increase in prices so quickly?

Google also said we get 60% or so of our oil from Canada, who doesn't get their oil from the Strait either.

Seems like greed to me and that the corporations are using any excuse to increase profits.  I could be wrong.

What we are seeing is how 1 country controls things.  Which means at their will, they could cut off the US or other countries.  And it's worthy to note that they're not only cutting of the USA/Israel, but everyone.

Some of it may have to do with the different types of oil, Heavy, medium and light. Canada's oil is mostly heavy and cost more to refine compared to the middle east's oil which is mostly medium oil. Plus market uncertainty will cause some increase along with delayed shipments. Even if we only import 8% from the middle east, that 8% decrease in oil on the US market makes the rest of the oil worth more due to the more limited quantity.

But of course greed could also be part of that increase.

I never claimed to have some level of proof, hence I said it was my read of the situation.

Since we haven't had an actual dictator in the Presidency in my lifetime, any comparison you try to draw between a president -- any president -- and an actual dictator from recent memory, your comments are nothing but hyperbole. 

#1 I wasn't drawing a comparison between Trump and other dictators, only pointing out that dictators have come to power through democratic elections before.
#2 Your argument basically boils down to "it hasn't happened here recently"... So what? All one needs to do is be a student of history and see how it has happened before.

Maybe if the media had been as critical of those two as they have Trump you and others would have a more grounded opinion on what constitutes a dictatorship.

The right leaning media was extremely critical of those two. Regardless, your argument is a whataboutism. Even if you made an argument that Biden was a dictator and I agreed, that wouldn't change the question of whether Trump is a dictator or not.

Protesting a bill that's been proposed to the legislature doesn't need to become law before a protest.  A bill is 100% more of a basis to protest than "something you think is going to happen but hasn't happened yet."

You're comparison is as stupid as your protesting against things people think might happen.

This belief is no different than believing you're a woman in a man's body.  It's all in your mind.  Getting others to validate your delusion doesn't make it a protest.  It makes it stupid x however many people you convice to march.

Unfortunately dictators becoming dictators don't really follow the process of a bill becoming law now do they?

Would you wait for Hitler to come to power before protesting him? After all, the logic of your rebuttal is to basically say wait until the person actually becomes a dictator (in other words when it is too late). And no I am not saying Trump is like Hitler.

Trump has exceeded his authority numerous times in going to war, executive orders, trying to circumvent the constitution (birthright citizenship) etc. He has put people in place who put loyalty to him over to country, he has enriched himself and his family with the office of the president (far more than even Hunter Biden), he has mentioned not leaving office, he pardoned people who tried to keep him in office after he lost, he renamed a building after himself, he protects his side with the DOJ. I could go on but for many no amount of evidence will ever be enough. They will call it fake news or something else to help them rationalize away Trump's worrying authoritarian tendencies.
