upcoming Netflix movie, loosely based on the Iran F-15E flightcrew rescue.  Who knows, it's Hollywood!  Everything can be re-imagined, and re-imaged.

Cease fire deal reached for 2 weeks.

The fake news is spreading wrong info like usual about the terms of the deal.  Same are also now bashing Trump for not wiping Iran off the face of the earth and how he got punked by Iran/Iran won.  I mean, most of their upper leadership are dead, weaponry destoryed, people rising up, sounds like being punked.

from what i've read, not so sure about the "people rising up" part.  Seems the IRGC lower echelons still maintain that iron death-grip on the general populace.  we'll have to see.  Trump gave the Iraqi Kurds a bunch of weapons they were supposed to transfer to the Iranian Kurds, to kick-start the popular revolution, but the Iraqi kurds decided to keep them instead for their own purposes, self-defense.  I guess they've been screwed over by the Great America more than once, now looking out for themselves, first.

seems the Iranians are still successfully drone-bombing other arab state refineries, not to mention missiles still landing on Israel, getting past their Iron Dome.  still a lot of moving pieces.  But hopefully, we're getting there.

Trump really kicked the hornets' nest, and seems the pissed-off hornets took it out on the undefended nearby arab states (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain).  Unintended consequences?  Seems the arab states weren't expecting that outcome, totally unprepared, seems like high-value critical assets totally undefended.  so much complacency, comes from years of peace, I guess, people let their guard down.

And the US F-15 Weapon System Officer wearing Stars & Stripes BVD's, I'll bet that morning when he got dressed, the notion of him getting shot down seemed like an complete impossibility, "nah, never going to happen, i'll wear my US Flag lucky BVD's", to me, that shows arrogance and complacency, underestimating the enemy.  Those BVD's where the first thing he disposed of after the ejection seat landing, reality set in, wake-up call, went "commando", couldn't afford to be caught wearing those, would've made for spectacular Iranian National Theater, gleefully carried live on CNN.  Probably going to be a new chapter in the SERE training.  Maybe it's already in the training, just conveniently forgotten?  maybe after his ride getting shot out from under him, and riding the rocket-sled ejection, maybe he did need to change his shorts?

just my observation and 2 cents.   :shaka:

I don't know which is the right info or the wrong info so I read and watch EVERYTHING.  Gotta watch most not with a grain of salt but a whole barrel of it.

After a while you get the sense of which media just hates Trump no matter what he does and which media where his shit is high quality ice-cream.  And they are gobbling it up.

The military ex-generals, colonels, and SF guys make good listening and watching material.

The biggest take I get from all of this is people are stereotyping.  Examples are Iranians are evil.  Not true.

They fail to distinguish the regime from the general population.

I think Trump was just talking shit when he said "A whole civilization will die tonight".  But there are some people in America that really want it to happen.

So I mentioned my gas price increase in the other page.  But I did a quick google and the US gets about 7% of it's oil from the Strait and of which 3% of the US uses it for gasoline purposes.  So why the heavy increase in prices so quickly?

Google also said we get 60% or so of our oil from Canada, who doesn't get their oil from the Strait either.

Seems like greed to me and that the corporations are using any excuse to increase profits.  I could be wrong.

What we are seeing is how 1 country controls things.  Which means at their will, they could cut off the US or other countries.  And it's worthy to note that they're not only cutting of the USA/Israel, but everyone.

Trump posted about it.

Might I suggest a more reliable means of determining than "Trump said so"...

Some of it may have to do with the different types of oil, Heavy, medium and light. Canada's oil is mostly heavy and cost more to refine compared to the middle east's oil which is mostly medium oil. Plus market uncertainty will cause some increase along with delayed shipments. Even if we only import 8% from the middle east, that 8% decrease in oil on the US market makes the rest of the oil worth more due to the more limited quantity.

But of course greed could also be part of that increase.

Trump announced that we're going to be selling US oil to the world, supposedly to stabilize oil prices.

if we have so much oil, that we have an excess of it and can sell to everybody and their uncle, shouldn't our oil be for domestic consumption first?  otherwise why are our gas prices going up?  What happened to America First?  Campaign promises ... the honeymoon is over.

I know the US has lots of oil, but the environmentalists and the greenies are successfully keeping it out of reach, and chief libtard Newsom is shutting down west coast refineries.  Progress in the wrong direction.

The US is reporting 170 empty oil tankers are coming our way to fill with our oil due to the Strait being closed and/or mined.  Apparently Iran states they've mined it but cannot locate all the mines.

The blockade will be interesting to watch if Chinese ships don't stop.  WOuld the US actually fire upon them?  I highly doubt they will put their own ships in collision with them as you now jeapordize US sailor lives and putting the ship out of comission for repairs.  1 benefit of communism, if the CCP tells their ships to keep going and ram em if they're in teh way, the captains would obey.
