Firearms and Accessories / Re: Mini Mag Ammunition
« on: February 21, 2013, 06:59:00 PM »
and in stock at OGC Tactical
Do you guys have the actual mini mag 40gr in the slim boxes or are they the swamp bulk packs?

I have both. M&P 9 pro feels better in the hand ergonomically but weird wrist feel until I changed out the trigger to the Apex kit. Glocks are cheap with GSSF discount so I bought 2. Never had a single problem with any yet but if I had to choose 1 it would be the G34.

General Discussion / Re: LGS rant- Honolulu Firearms s*#*s!

Thats why I got fired today SORRY!

Ummm... somehow you edited my post and quoted it wrong. I said I won't buy from Young Guns or Hon Firearms.  I purchased several things from you and Brian in the past and I will continue to buy from you guys.  I've known you since Eurosport/Speedtek days lol.  I'm good friends with Chin, Ethan, Ippy...

Go read my post again bro.

Completely agree with your experience. I try to buy locally before shopping online and SEC and OGC are the only shops that gets my money. And sometimes X-ring. Honolulu firearms and young guns will not get a penny from me even if their inventory was half off due to their arrogant and clueless staff.

I drove by around 10:30am and lines were in the doors.  Maybe the rush is over?

If this retarded bill ever passes I'm calling HPD that day to report all my guns stolen. Then I can pass it down to whoever I want whenever I want. No bs paperwork.

General Discussion / Re: Single Stage or Two Stage Trigger?

I'm a big fan of the 2 stage.  I think the break is more predictable and lighter with the 2 stage kits.

I saw it at SWAM wine store in pearl city and asked about it. Jill, the owner said it was a gift from some dude that carves them out of old shells. It was displayed behind the cashier and she took it down so I could take a pic
I want one of those... Or 2 or 3 lol.

General Discussion / Trigger

One more for Geissele. I have the SD-E in my AR. The flat trigger looks weird at first but feels awesome. Best trigger I used so far.

I bought several things through gunbroker with no problems. Some sellers are small mom and pop types and don't go online all the time. You wait few days to few weeks for response sometimes.

General Discussion / what time does kokohead open on weekends?
« on: December 06, 2012, 12:34:03 PM »
I'm just venting because its getting worse and worse. I'm just gonna continue what I'm doing, going early, patiently wait my turn so I can enjoy shooting rifles.
Maybe I should go sign up at schofield since I'm a DoD contractor. Much closer to my home too.

General Discussion / what time does kokohead open on weekends?
« on: December 06, 2012, 10:52:32 AM »
Last month I was there at 6 and all benches were taken. At around 7:30 old timer told me his friend is probably not showing up and gave me one of his 4 benches that he was reserving. I was thankful yet pissed off at the same time. Why would you take up 4 benches for people that might not show up?
I'm like most of you guys here, we take turns going early to grab one bench and 4-5 of us share. Even if there are several benches open in a row we only reserve one. Non stop shooting our rifles for few hours then move onto ether pistol or silhouette side so wait list people can have a turn.
Some people just don't have the common courtesy and consideration for others. The worst part is they will never change their selfish ways.

Hourly fees would go into the general fund where the cash would be lost.

That sucks.  At least it would stop people from firing off few shots then walking around to talk stories with their friends for 30mins before taking another shot.

Lately they are full before 6am. I'm not sure if they ever close the gates. Lots of old timers go when it's still dark and hold stalls for their friends and stuff.
I would really really really love to see a hourly fee system. Then they would have much more turnovers and money to extend hours and fix up the place.

General Discussion / How's the line at HPD?
« on: November 27, 2012, 09:03:41 AM »
what did you pick up?
I picked up a stripped lower to build a dedicated 22. Might go with taccom or Nordic upper, not sure yet. I should have enough spare parts to build the lower.

Btw, the parking meters across the street at the muni lot is free until 8:30. I made it back just in time.

Got here this morning at 6:30 hoping to be first in line... Nope! #7. First guy got here at 5:45.
I'm waiting to see the line grow as today would be the 5th day for all the Black Friday buyers.

Lol, last time I saw someone eat twinkies was the cop from die hard.  Or on food network when they showed deep fried twinkies.

Yeah those brass vultures lol. I had a girl come up last week asking for my brass so I told em she could have them as long as she cleaned after me when I was done. Win win
