Firearms and Accessories / Re: AR LPK advice needed PSA vs. RRA
« on: January 12, 2013, 08:27:31 AM »
Thanks for the advice guys.   Since it seems that both kits would be the same (both are standard kits) is it worth it to hold on to the extra one or sell it?  I don't plan to build any more AR's and only have the one stripped lower.  Is it better to save it for parts or sell it because I won't need it?

Thanks!

Firearms and Accessories / AR LPK advice needed PSA vs. RRA
« on: January 12, 2013, 12:14:20 AM »
so before all this madness, I picked up a stripped lower and a Rock River Arms LPK and a Palmetto State Armory LPK.

Being that this is my first AR build, which LPK should I use?  I'm also contemplating ditching the trigger and putting in some other trigger like a geissele at some point if that makes a difference.

Also, I'm not trying to do this build quick....just trying to pick up parts here and there so there's no real rush at all.

Just wondering what your guys' opinion is on the LPK's that I have.

Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: Hand gun permit process
« on: December 30, 2012, 06:08:17 PM »
1. Take Handgun class
2. Pay for handgun at wherever you decide to purchase your handgun
3. Go to HPD with receipt from the store (incl. serial no., make, model, etc.) AND Handgun class Affidavit
4. Fill out Handgun permit application and other forms at HPD
5. Wait two weeks of eternity
6. Go back to HPD and pick up handgun Permit (which is good ONLY for the handgun you already paid for)
7. Go back to the shop you paid for the handgun at and take custody of the handgun
8. Go back to HPD within 5 days? with the handgun, the permit and your handgun class affidavit
9. breathe sigh of relief
