so before all this madness, I picked up a stripped lower and a Rock River Arms LPK and a Palmetto State Armory LPK. 

Being that this is my first AR build, which LPK should I use?  I'm also contemplating ditching the trigger and putting in some other trigger like a geissele at some point if that makes a difference.

Also, I'm not trying to do this build quick....just trying to pick up parts here and there so there's no real rush at all.

Just wondering what your guys' opinion is on the LPK's that I have.

Which lpk did you get?  From what I understand, there are different options like a two stage trigger on the rra.  I've only heard good things about rra, but it was kinda bias cuz the guys Dad was a distributer.  Don't have experience with psa, so can't comment.  If you know what a standard mil-spec trigger feels like, the geissele will be a huge improvement IMO (I have 2) if you decide to go that route.  Either way, at least you are that fortunate to have that choice nowadays...

I've used both RRA & PSA...if they are both standard kits there is little difference, so pick one. It's your first build, don't worry about upgraded/2 stage triggers. It's more important to get the experience under your belt and then decide what works best for you.

I learned a bunch while assembling stripped lowers.  If you got tools (punches and maybe hammer), half a brain, and YouTube, it's very easy to replace a trigger.  I don't have experience with either LPK, but I feel confident both are of good quality.  Good luck with your build, and if you catch me at a convenient time, I'd be glad to help.

Preferably a small 4oz brass or nylon hammer (or even the plastic handle of a screwdriver)...A 20oz framing hammer wouldn't be a good idea.

ETA: It is easier with the right tools, but one can improvise. For my first build, I used a screwdriver handle and cut up wooden dowel rods for punches. 

Thanks for the advice guys.   Since it seems that both kits would be the same (both are standard kits) is it worth it to hold on to the extra one or sell it?  I don't plan to build any more AR's and only have the one stripped lower.  Is it better to save it for parts or sell it because I won't need it?
