and even if you are grandfathered, you cannot sell or transfer to family members...

If you move out of state can they go with you, and if you decide to sell them outside of the state can they be shipped or flown outside of the state?

don't forget to enter "support" or "oppose" in the beginning
then write how it personally affects you...

Submitted, thanks

How’s the new C&C of Honolulu’s sensitive places law working out???

It's preventing Law-abiding citizens from carrying in those places, so it's working as they intended it to.

Beneitz is a CA judge, not a 9th circuit. THe 9th is the most anti 2a circuit, they have yet to rule in favor of any 2a lawsuits.

This is what I was trying to get at.

« on: April 24, 2023, 06:15:47 AM »
Was speaking to a someone and he said 30rnd rifle magazines are banned in Hawaii? Just wanted to get clarification on if this is true. It's been awhile since I owned any magazines for an AR15 rifle platform. I will be getting my rifle soon, and just wanted to make sure. I did a search and all posts are pretty old or vague regarding the law.

Thank you  :shaka:

I read Judge Benitez might strike this down in the 9th circuit. Lawsuits are probably already filed.

Thanks for all the help everyone, ended up just ordering from Home depot in Compton Ca. Having it freighted to Hawaii. Since my wife works closely with aloha freight, it was only 150ish bucks to ship it. Bought a Liberty Centurion, just needed a small one.

Costco waipio has a small safe, seen it today, $579.  Its probably not the most robust safe but its at least a couple hundred pounds and better than a security cabinet.  It also has some electrical for led lights and maybe a dehumidifier.

Thanks for the heads up, gonna go check costco out this week. Gonna see if Home depot can bring me in the Liberty Centurion 12, or see what liberty safes can do directly from them.

Assuming you're looking for a big safe for rifles.  Sams has on the floor from time to time. Also check their and Costco, Home Depot websites if they can ship to the store or your home. It's hit or miss.

I got mine from Cabela's. For a few weeks it wasn't free shipping. They wanted $400. Then by chance I looked again and $20 shipping. So I ordered it and it arrived.

it doesn't have to be huge. I Was going to get the Liberty Centurion 18 from a local store but got quoted one price and once it got here they jacked the price up beyond what I was willing to pay for a level 1 security safe.
Went to cabelas website, and was going to order the centurion 12 but it says doesn't ship directly from manufacture to our location. So my wife works with a lot of freight companies and I can have it shipped to cali, and then freighted over
on my wifes containers just gotta pay for freight.

got mine from home depot website and shipped to store for free.

Do they allow you to order in the store if you cannot order online (home depot)

Edit: What safe brand did you end up going with from home depot?

I filled out all my paperwork at home, minus whatever they needed me to fill out in the PTA office. I was even given an additional forms to take home for the future PTA requests.

Thanks all. I was hoping for an outdoor range to shoot rifle once in a while. Sounds like those are few and far between and invitation only. Are there any organizations to join to get access to something like that?

If you have CAC access to MCBH they have a range, but I would contact the base Shooting range/PD to see if it is still open to CAC holders.

1 year for the PTA.  meaning you can buy as many as you like in the 1 year.  the registration for any firearm lasts forever, so no need renew the registration
pistol PTA only lasts for 10 days.  iirc.

Ahh okay, I thought we had to go down every year and redo everything. Good to know thank you

My permit is going to expire next month and I would like to renew it but do I have to start all over again and go in person with all the paperwork? Thank you.

How long does a long gun permit last, I'll be going through the process for my rifle that will be coming in.

Very nice you’re gonna love it. My C2 is hard to beat.

You get around to doing any custom work to it?

Picked this up, just waiting for range to reopen and not be busy. But I hear some good things regarding the prodigy on the 2011 sub reddit
