Questions on the Rapback- if my permit is not expired and I renew it before the expiration date, do I need a Rapback check also?

Victim was a 57 visiting from Montana with his wife. Gary Breitling.
Shooter was Reynaldo Cardenas. Did not get caught up in the barricade, luckily I was in the Mandalay.

General Discussion / Re: How's the line at HPD?

Has anyone else using Straub as their primary, applied for a permit for a hand gun. Just trying to be sure that there's no recourse if I purchase a handgun and run into issues with HPD and Straub. Is the finger printing the only change to the regular applications that are filled out?

Thanks, Dogman. I was hoping, I wouldn't have to get another physician to do the form. Aloha and Mahalo for the info.

Anyone tried to get a permit to register a hand gun that was purchased and has their primary physician at Straub lately. News went out last week that Kaiser is on board.

I just received a reply from Able's ammo, they have suspended shipping to Hawaii for a while. They are negotiating with UPS on the HAZMAT issue. They do not have a projected completion date .

The site I was looking at is  ableammo.com. I can imagine the cost for shipping and hazmat!

I have read the Hawaii Gun Laws and it has nothing regarding the ban from purchasing ammunition form an online site . Is it illegal to order the ammunition and have it mailed to you. Do you need an FFL to purchase? What is the ruling on this issue?
