General Discussion / Re: AMA and Gun Control
« on: June 13, 2018, 12:18:26 PM »
If I'm not mistaken Dr Green works at Kona Hospital. He is against 2A. Kona hospital and its doctors is allegedly not really considered a worthy hospital by the locals. Most patients go to North Hawaii Community Hospital. But going back to the AMA statement /position. Doctors should stick to taking care of patients and stamp out disease not politics. Did you know that all these cancer center commercials you see are basically to make money. It's all fake news. These so called break through treatments for cancer do not exist. For example, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver, colon, brain, breast, ovarian, the treatment has been the same for the last forty plus years. Yet zillions of dollars are spent on so called cures. There are no cures. All you have to do is look at the five year survival rates and you will see that they have not changed. Look around you and I'm sure you know many friends and family members that are affected by cancer. But the worst parts of medicine are the countless errors made the so called medical professionals. The excuse " it's called a practice". If our airlines operated and made errors like our medical professionals, they would be shut down. How do I know all this. Five years ago I had an appendectomy. Simple thing you say. Guess what, the pathologist never read the slides. Cancer was there, they just didn't read the slides. Five years later I have stage four cancer spread through my abdomen. I have a few months to live, maybe. My oncologist said that there's no treatment other than chemotherapy which does nothing for colon cancer. It would nothing more than an exercise. I have stopped donating money to anything that has to do with medicine. Doctors should stick with medicine and stay out of politics. No sense screw things up in both arenas.

The major issue here is the lack of humbleness. I have the salution to this thread. Since I don't understand the word liberty and some of you do. How about I continue living here and the rest of you Einstein's get TF out. I'll be real blunt. Take your horn blowing, red light running, dodging in and out of traffic, non stop complaining about stuff that doesn't matter, arrogant ass back to where you came from. Go back to freedom. We can do without you.

I'm not sure his rights are being violated. The only right that the scouts guarantees as guns go " is that you can own one" if you are not a crumb. It doesn't say what type. I'm speaking in general terms. My perceived rights have been violated many times. As an example dry towns in the south. But those are my perceived rights. Perceived rights are often twisted. No doubt we've lost many rights since 9/11. But we're they actually a right or just a privaledge. You start ranting against the government does nothing to further your cause.

Yes.  I plan on being very vocal about it too.  I will email the entire legislature about the other situation as well.

Did you know that the governor's office selectively signs retirement certificates for military now?

I went to the news media there and got a response from the governor's office.  However, I have the entire chain of emails proving they are doing this from the governor's office.

Going back to the news media with this one.

I am out of the state now and plan on a few things.

The state government was the #2 reason for leaving that shit hole.
I sense alot of anger over nothing. I really don't know you but I have a feeling you're just that kind of person, angry at life. I'm not sorry to see you go. If I were government and looked at your comments on this forum, I would think "this is childish Imature rant, first". " Let's keep on eye on this guy". I'm not against your freedom of speech. I'm not liking your personality and your verbiage. Aloha no need to come back.

Kind of like ethnic cleansing. Except you loose your job and not your life.

Reason for CCW in Hawaii?
Because carrying a big dog is not practical.
Well maybe if we can alter the definition of "service" dog to include self-defense dog.
You got it all wrong. You get the dog to carry the door stop. Both can remind of bad advice. I had high hopes for the new chief. Not so much now. One somewhat old guard going after the really old guard and union reps. No different MO than past chiefs.

Joe Chacon/ABRA Rear Rest

Just got it today.  Gotta put a bubble level and try it out this weekend

For a "rear" rest it looks rather rugged. How long can you sit on it before it hurts.  :( :( :(

-Brit gov ordered plug pulled
-Took 6 days for Alfie to die (no food fed)
-Italy said they can save him and will fly him for free, brit gov said no.
-14 stationed police outside of hospital main entrance (like a phallax)

This is why the 2a is needed.

On a side note, brit citizens being arrested and jailed for deragatory FB post about islam. Estimate 1400 arrested.

Again when the governemnt takes your guns. They can so what ever they want.

Father should have went John Q, but he had no gun.

Ok help me understand. What are you implying. I'm trying to read in between the lines of your post. So I don't come to the wrong conclusion, can you please explain what you would do if you had a gun.

Just for reference

I went to the range last week with fellow 2A member scorpio.
He had a beautiful SW 625 with 4"bbl and shooting some Fed RTP white box ammo (Range-Target-Practice)
I had not shot any factory ammo in a long time so I was curious what they put in their econo-ammo nowadays.

Here is what I found:

45 acp-230 gr Federal RTP lot #Q20M229
Headstamp=Federal 45 Auto
OAL= 1.266 "
Mouth dia=0.470"
Bullet=conventional Full Metal Jacket with NO sealer
Bullet weight=231.7 gr.
Bullet dia=0.4505"
Propellant=5.0 gr. of fine grain flakes
Velocity from the SW 625 4"bbl=837 fps with an SD of 7 fps
Velocity from my 5.5" bar-sto bbl was 857 fps and SD of 8 fps

See pictures-
Note the similar appearance of the powder when compared to Bullseye

What's causing the faster speed. Twist,  5" barrel or is the speed difference insignificant to postulate. I'll look for a different  45 for you to test. I think I have a veriety.

Good point Stangz.
If we're going by Stangz understanding, I change my mind.
( I was thinking if someone's lurking outside or kicking on your door)

Kicking on your door. You mean like your X.
