As far as I'm concerned there's only the human race.
What is race ?
Are English, Germans, Swiss, French, Irish, Norwegians, Dutch, Australians, Russians all just Whites ?
Are Kenyans, Somalians, Nigerians, native South Africans, Malis, Ethiopians, Congans, Jamaicans all just Blacks ?
Are Spanish, Ecuadoreans, Mexicans, Venezuelans, Hondurans, Colombians, Chileans all just Latinos ?
Are Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, Laotians, Cambodians all just Asians ?
Are Hawaiians, Tongans, Samoans, Maori, Tahitians, all just Pacific Islanders ?
How many races are there ?
Ever considered defining race from a genetic standpoint?

"The Only Certain Race is the Human Race." by Dr. Theodore E. Burk

Doctor of Philosophy, Animal Behaviorist, Entomologist, Behavioral Ecologist, this guy gave awesome lectures at my alma mater
The following quotes are from pages 4-9 of:
http://www.creighton.edu/fileadmin/user/creighton-magazine/archive/PDFs/1996_Window_F96.pdf#page=3&zoom=auto,-104,25" Genetic distance changes gradually with geographic distance, not in large discrete jumps as we move from one “race” to another."
"Some populations in India for example,
have darkly pigmented skin (are “Black”),
have European-like facial features (are
“Caucasoid”), but inhabit the continent of
Asia (are “Asian”). Such difficult-to-
pigeonhole people cause endless problems
in contexts such as racial classification on
a census form. (On the 1990 U.S. census
form, Americans of Asian Indian ancestry
were classified as Asians, although by the
traditional racial classifications of anthropology, they are “Caucasoids” rather than“Mongoloids”
"if, instead of by skin color, we defined races
by ability of the adult to digest lactose
(milk sugar), west Europeans, west
Africans and Arabians would constitute
one race, while east Asians, Native
Americans, south Europeans, and
Australian aborigines would constitute a
different race. It’s easy to label people
based on their outer appearance, but their
genetic similarities or differences are
often not very well indicated by those
superficial traits."
My conclusion, Americans have a jaded sense of what race is. The "racists" in our country that kill and burn churches should be re-defined as "haters".
