I remember a customer on here a few years back had some trouble bringing in a old Walther P38 C&R. Had to go thru us to get it registered.

The newer version of the P-38, the P-1 alloy frame is being marketed as C&R by a number of vendors, but nobody seems to be able to provide the proper letter of documentation. It is not in the book.
The subject of a long thread on one of the collector's sites. They were built up through the "70s I believe. This would not pass muster here at registration time. In a
no registration State it would not present a problem.
Do your homework before you present a piece at the window and save a lot of trouble.
I also buy from FFL's only. Won't touch an individual sale.  :)
