Knowing and living among Americans all of my adult life, I can say that I hate only those Americans who assent and are complicit to US imperialism.

As for American culture, I can't like or hate something that I still don't understand.

I think you often conflate and confuse American politics and economics with American culture.

No other nation in history has uplifted as many people out of poverty and lead the entire world through conflict and prosperity as the USA.

For all the negatives, we are still the leaders of the free world.

As the founders predicted, greed and corruption will continue to gain traction unless they are stopped.  Hence the balance of powers design. Bad thing is, when all 3 branches become greedy and corrupt, it's up to the people to set it right.  Too many rely on the justice system to stop these flagrant violations of law, ethics and morals, but we see that doesn't happen if you are part of the swamp (Clintons and Bidens are perfect examples).

Regardless, the system isn't broken.  It's just been hijacked.  We need to give it back to the owners (We the People).

That's not an easy task since the education system has cultivated a population of sheep, blindly following an ideology -- or worse yet, blindly hating any ideology that doesn't align with the one they were taught.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.

Just like what conservative Catholic Matt Walsh asks in his superb documentary, "What is a Woman?", I similarly ask what is American culture today?

As for American politics, it is very clear what it is: maintenance of the US empire by subjugating its own people and that of other nations to the will and bidding of the ultrawealthy, Power Okole, and oligarchs that run it.

No other nation in history has uplifted as many people out of poverty and lead the entire world through conflict and prosperity as the USA.
I think you need to clarify this notion by time period as any objective historian can point out how the now US empire has not participated in those things you stated.  In fact, through its illegal invasions and wars of aggression, color revolutions, staged coups, etc.it orchestrated throughout the 21st century, the US empire has been directly responsible for causing more poverty, chaos, economic turmoil particularly to those nations that did not bend to its imperial will.

For all the negatives, we are still the leaders of the free world.
That maybe were true after WWII; however, towards the end of the 20th century to the present, the only thing US empire is leading is its own citizenry and vassal states to economic and financial ruin with its fiat-based imperial printed toilet paper.

All the facts you presented actually proves that the system created by the Founding Fathers is broken beyond repair and that is why the former American Republic is now the US empire.

You mentioned all three branches of government have been corrupted presumedly by the ultrawealthy and America's oligarchs.  Do you think their hold on power will ever cease?

You speak of Mainstreet Americans of needing to get back power over their country, but how can they do that when they do not directly control the economic means of production or the armed forces?

Finally, you speak of the educational system producing a population of sheep following some ideology.  What ideology is that?  Moreover, it's funny how you even mention how the educational system is training its students to blindly hate other ideologies that do not align to the one that is currently taught.  I got news for you as this has been happening since WWII with all Americans being indoctrinated to despise and loath socialism/communism as well as the nations and peoples that believe and/or practice some form of it.  If you were/are OK with that anti-socialism/communism brainwashing, is it not hypocritical of you to be upset with education's current ideological curriculum today?

Actions speak louder than words and the geopolitical actions of the US empire to those who do not bend to its economic and/or political will suffer economically and/or militarily.

Unless you are oblivious or deny those actions, the facts speak for themselves.

There was no law during the Hawaiian Kingdom that banned gun ownership.

...

Name another country in history that defeated their enemy and rather than pillage and plunder and occupy it, spent billions of dollars/rubles/yen/...,  to rebuild the defeated country.

After WWII is an important criteria, for it became illegal for a UN member nation to formally declare war on a foreign power.  Because of that, everything became "Peacekeeping missions" or humanitarian operations, and so on.  Anything resembling a war (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.) was not pressed to destroy the enemy, but to force them to stop their attacks on neighbors or to weed out the terrorists who attack foreign and domestic victims in the name of some cause.

So, yeah, the A-bomb was dropped in a move to "end all war," hostilities at the nation-state level have been altered.  Winning is no longer a real possibility when every conflict draws the same opposition and allies.

Think about what a difference there was between WWI & WWII vs. The Cold War.  It was a stark contrast between actual military battles vs. the strategic moves meant to project power globally and against one's enemies.

You keep trying to use historical analogies to prove your theories and conclusions.  The problem is history is not a static playing field which means you can't compare the actions from 1945 or 1970 with those of 2000 or 2015.  Many of the countries involved in the 1970s conflicts no longer exist or are under completely different forms of government.

The US is no exception.  Our nation has changed from the Right leaning leadership we used to know to now the Liberal/Socialist/Leftist power base we have today.  The hippies of the 60s and 70s got old and figured out how to win elections.  Totally changed backdrop for today's discussions versus a few short decades ago.

If Capitalism and American values were responsible for the number of deaths of their own citizens as Communist/Socialist countries, then you'd have a point.  Even the US migration to the West that killed many American Indians (I'm no longer using Native-Americans, since anyone born here is also a native-born American), pales in comparison to the higher estimate of 148 million killed in the quest for the Communist Utopia.  Most of these deaths were part of an intentional genocide effort.

Let's set the record straight on the rebuilding efforts by the US particularly to Japan and West Germany after WWII.  It would be very disingenuous to make it sound that those funds to rebuild those two nations were purely for the well-being of both populations.  Rather, that money was used to ensure that those nations would not become part of the communist bloc led by the Soviet Union and/or China.

If what you say is true, why do the many anti-China haters in the US empire today have no problems in using similar criticism of the leadership and economic policy of Maoist China in the mid-20th century to Xi Jinping's modern China in the 21st century when the geopolitical and geoeconomic situations both faced are clearly different?

I still don't understand the point you are trying to make.  The goals, beliefs, ideas of personal liberties, etc. of all nations change over time.  What matters is what country-in-question behaves in relation towards its neighbors.  As it stands, the now US empire is setting the stage for global war and economic collapse because the rest of World is moving towards a multipolar World free of US imperialism.

First of all, I rebuke the notion that the loss of human life supposedly attributed to communist-led regimes were "all part of an international genocide effort".

Second, the deaths that resulted from the US empire's wars of aggression as well as illegal invasions were a direct result of its quest to maintain its geopolitical control of this planet.  The only real difference is that the deaths that occurred in communist-led nations were domestic, while the deaths attributed to the US empire were committed on innocent people trying to live their lives through their own self-determination that did not bow down to US imperialism.

No side is clean, but at least the communist-led countries no longer commit such atrocities, while the US empire is still in the business of killing people of other nations that dare to exercise their national autonomy in defiance to US imperial hegemony.

You failed to answer the question.

I repeat:
"Name another country in history that defeated their enemy and rather than pillage and plunder and occupy it, spent billions of dollars/rubles/yen/...,  to rebuild the defeated country."

The answer you gave sounded very much like the Liberals of this country who never give leaders like Trump credit for the good things he did because he did them for the "wrong reasons."

If I save your life because I want to receive a lifesaving reward, are you really going to suggest that I should have let you die because you don't like my reasons?  Not everyone is motivated by altruism and moral imperatives.  Even those who are may not find those reasons motivating enough to take action.

It's been said one of the reasons capitalism succeeds is because there is no greater motivator than self-interest -- greed if you will.  It's what pushed inventors to discover and create the technological miracles we see today as common and mundane.  It's what makes the farmer risk everything to feed the nation or the world in hopes of giving his family a better life. Even the Pilgrims who began this nation learned that lesson.  When you let people keep the fruits of their labor, they work harder to produce more so they can earn more.

I did not fail to answer your question.  If you read critically, you would have noticed my response implicitly assented to the country you alluded to.

The answer you gave sounded very much like the Liberals of this country who never give leaders like Trump credit for the good things he did because he did them for the "wrong reasons."
However, the presentation of your question was trying to give the US empire too much praise as I shared their rebuilding efforts were more for the US empire's own geopolitical self-interest rather than helping the Germans and Japanese recover from WWII.

On this same note, here is a question for you.  Why did not the US empire spend the same amount of money to rebuild Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan after its illegal invasions to those nations which it literally destroyed as well as killed thousands of innocent people?

If I save your life because I want to receive a lifesaving reward, are you really going to suggest that I should have let you die because you don't like my reasons?  Not everyone is motivated by altruism and moral imperatives.  Even those who are may not find those reasons motivating enough to take action.
No, of course not, no one would.

However, is society expected to always be grateful to the philanthropic efforts of ultrawealthy individuals such as Bill Gates or George Soros knowing full-well that tax write-offs and other questionable ulterior motives are a major reason for their actions?

-- YES!  The decision was their's to make, and the results benefitted many others.  Tax write-offs allow the government to assist in those philanthropic actions by foregoing collecting and spending any related tax savings -- probably for what would have been less worthwhile boondoggles.

Are you supposed to be criticized for taking the $500 charitable contribution on your 1040 tax return after donating to Goodwill, Food Banks, and other charity organizations throughout the year?  How do we know the tax incentive was not the motivation for your "charity?"  The fact is, it's not charity to give other people's money to someone in need (i.e. taxes), but it is charity to give your own (even if you get a tax break on that donation amount -- the taxes are better spent by the donor/earner, not government).

Hint:  the amount you save in taxes is always less than the amount you have to donate to qualify for that tax break.  Only exception is if that deduction puts you in a lower bracket which is not very likely in most cases.

Having said that, if a person/company is on the borderline between two brackets and the donations teeter the balance to the lower, I consider that a win-win.  Government does not own, nor did it earn, that extra tax amount.  Anytime anyone can legally deprive Uncle Sam of taxes is a blow for freedom and liberty (refer to my earlier comments about keeping what you produce and earn).
