I have not looked into this, but I wonder if this went the same as the first Ranger tab graduates.
I worked with a woman, who's husband was in the Ranger class that the 2 women who were the first to graduate in was. Hey said that the cadre didn't focus on them too much, compared to others. For those who don't know, if you stand out, you get chewed out more. Bascially, you don't want to draw attention to yourself and by being female, this is impossible. But the class did notice that they weren't "smoked" as much as the other students. This is a pretty big factor during the assessment.
Then there's rumors of standards across the board being lowered. Like the weight of the ruck was reduced compared to prior years. This could be coincidental, but I doubt it.
Are there women who can do the exact same standards as the men...yes. My friend is 1 of them. She always does PT at the mens standard in her unit and maxes it out. She also is still feminine and not butch. Granted RASP is totally different from maxing out mens PT, but you get what I'm trying to convey as there is no way to prove she can graduate from Ranger school.
