Interesting report. In today's unbelievable information technology where even war can be brought to the comfortable confines of your living room, I resigned myself to be very skeptical as to what I see and hear.
Maybe you guys can bring some context as to what I observe from this report:
Is this a 9-5 war? Punch out at 5, say "see you tomorrow" to the enemy, go back, take a shower, shave, and clean your uniform? Seems that way from his appearance.
After talking about the horrors he's seen, the death, carnage, and chaos of battle, again, his appearance is in stark contrast to the footage of front line combat that has been seen during the Vietnam war.
In those footages, the soldiers look gaunt, disheveled, uniforms torn, dirty, with faces smeared with grime and sweat. Oh, and unshaven too.
Same as the training missions I've participated in when in the military. We used to train for like 13 days in the field. When we came back we looked like sh*t. And that guy is in the front lines of a war.

Maybe in this day and age there really is a 9-5 war. "Fa Q, Brah, wait till tomorrow, Imma gonna get chu...." I going back and take a shower and change my uniform and then go on the internet to report my combat experience today.
No bodda me. bodda me tomorrow.
