I own a M&P 40 and have shot a M&P 9.

They are good guns. Reliable, accurate and good looking.

No complaints.

Brought one for the wife cause she has smaller hands and likes the feel of the M&P 9. Shoots really good, have no complaints.

HDF used an M&P 9 as one of the training guns when I was teaching.  All I've got to say about M&Ps is that my next three or four planned pistol purchases are all M&Ps; I want their little .380 pocket rocket, the 9mm Shield subcompact, and a full-size service pistol in either 9mm or .45acp.

I have a 9mm shield.

Nice little gun.

It's supposed to be the wife's gun.  ::)

I have two, the full sized and the compact.  I like the newer models.  The original models have some pretty crappy triggers, but that can be addressed with an APEX kit.  Make sure you get the model without the magazine safety.  Nothing worse than having to have a magazine in your pistol or it won't work.

I have a full size M&P 9, I love it.  Grip is super comfortable and comes with 3 different sizes.  Shoots great as well.  I'm not completely sold on the trigger so I may replace it, but other than that it's a great gun!

I bought one for my gf, and we both like it.  It fits both of our hands, as I am cursed with tiny mitts. I like the weight of it and it's pretty accurate.

I will say that the trigger is not the best. It's got no reset and it feels gritty, versus a Glock, Shield, or an M&P VTAC.  I added the Apex RAM, which was easy to put in, and actually gave it a reset.  I'm probably going to polish down some of the contacts, which should help with the grit.  Another complaint would be the mags are pretty hard to load, especially for my gf. I ended up ordering an UpLULA, which she loves.

The M&P 9 is at the top of my list.

I absoulety love my HK 45, but shooting it is breaking me. I also have another 9mm, but its an old P94 and can't get crap for aftermarket parts.

So a M&P 9 in in my near future, just deciding on if I want a basic model, VTAC or a CORE.
I've never been a fan of pistol optics, but a M&P CORE topped with RMR is really growing on me.

I was considering a SIG, but like the M&P price allowing for some parts and ammo for the same price. Got HK and Glock too,  so time for something new.

I'm going to hold out and see what the gun show brings.

BUY IT!
