Denfend up to it agian..
« on: December 31, 2010, 03:30:35 PM »
I was looking at the headlines for today and the Star Advertiser hand an article about the top headlines of 2010.  As I went to the bottom of the page to read the comment section, guess who's up to no go again.  Here is the link http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/hawaiinews/20101231_Politics_athletics_and_Five-0_captivated.html

Besides that plz have a safe and happy new years!

It really is too bad that he wasn't willing to have an actual debate regarding facts and statistics instead of feelings and emotions.

It's also sad that he fails to understand the 1st Amendment as well as the 2nd.

I hope so... I am all for free speech, ask Alex -- I spent like 20 minutes attempting to reason with a man who was slandering me and spouting off all sorts of retarded comments, until finally we just told him good night.  Starting drama (for the purpose of starting drama) isn't what we need lol; not to mention its a private forum, you have no 1st amendment right here.  I will love to let "defend" know when we are doing a event though, and hope he attempts to push some negative press.. would do me good.

Yes he was banned. Not becuase he was a troll, but because he constantly posted plagiarized material without citing references or adding his own content.

This happens in forums all the time.. not a big deal, nor the last time this guy will probably get banned.. it seems to be in his/her nature to stir it up.. fits well with his Bob Marley profile pic!

The best way to handle people like this is to ignore them.. don't respond to their outlandish comments.. don't engage them.  They get bored quickly if there's no drama.  If someone just has to say something.. better to post it in another thread in a new topic.. not directly responding to the troll, but more of a back door argument to whatever points were being made.

But sometimes, people just get banned.  It happens in a lot of forums.  There are anti-social people & trouble lovers everywhere.  Many have ccw permits.  But it seems to me, in this state, we have to be exceptional model citizens.. reasonable, polite, normal.  That is the 'profile' we want to project of the ccw permit holder.

We shouldn't have to.  It should be the govt's responsibility to prove inadequacy for permitees, not for us to prove we have good reason.  It is supposed to be a 'right' for us to keep & bear arms.  It should be the govt's job to keep those arms from anti-social or criminal types, not the general population.  Hopefully, there will be more leeway in ccw here in Hawaii.  Maybe even in my lifetime..  ::)
