I am starting a new job soon and I need to get hey protected toe boot what type do you guys recommend. The job is warehouse type based.

Red wing 6700 slip ons. Super comfortable.

I'm partial to Redwings and have worn them for close to 18 years.  Some thoughts on steel toe though, I don't like them because I have wide feet.  When I tried to wear steel toes the shell would rub on my toes and I actually started to get numbness.  For the great part of those 18 years I've worn no steel toes.

I like the redwings mostly for the welding I do . As for shop work I would recommend any Wal-Mart steel toe . It's cheap

My co-workers recommended Timberland Pro and I bought a pair last week. I just started wearing them today and they're alright so far.

I wore out my Redwing hiking style boots. They were uncomfortable for the first 2 or so months but they were nice after they settled in.

I also used the Converse boots. Reebok makes them now. Super comfortable (would've been better if I got the correct size) and zip up side. The tread on the sole wasn't the best for my type of work and I stopped using them because it started to tear apart.

Then some random Belleville and Bates issued mechanic boots. Not a comfortable boot/shoe. I only wore them because of uniform regulations.

I like my Redwing boots, changed the insole and it made them super comfertable. I have also heard good things about converse boots, people say they feel like sneakers.
