we always think we are getting hosed here in HI pricewise

During the plague of 2013, the Honolulu gun show had some of the best prices I had seen in the entire country. Some stuff was naturally marked up, but all in all it was extremely fair prices; especially since I came from the hell hole known as the Las Vegas gun show. We are talking 300% mark up on junk! Needless to say, I was surprised at what I saw when I came home, as I expected it to be 10x worse.

They allow pics, video, interviews at shot show.. You sure? Internet gun bloggers are considered the press nowaday. The manufacturers want them there because they know gun blog viewers drive sales. Maybe you have to apply for a press pass or something. This looks like more of a old west guns type of event though with no manufacturers.

How can we check? You would think these guys would want coverage!

Will not be heading to the gun show this weekend; local ATF changed the interpretation of the info a mainland office provided me, so I will not be able to sell my collection this year.

When I went to the last show, I seen a sign at the front table that said " You need permission to take pictures " something to that effect. I asked the people at the table that look to be in charge and asked them for some clarity on that and they said you need to ask permission from the booth vendors. Also there might be customers in the background of the photos that might not want to be in the pictures too. Just relaying what was told to me. I didn't end up taking any pictures regardless.

Just came back.

Tons of people lining up inside to buy some ammo deals.

Good deal .Federal 5.56 1000 rounds at $ 399 + tax price at security table but the line is so long and American Eagle .308 for $15.99 per 20 round at Young Guns compare to $ 19.99 at Security. One guy tried to return it at security when he probably saw a cheaper deal at young guns table.Good turn out. Met some 2A members there.

My friend and I were very tempted to buy a Beretta 92FS from Young Guns for $499

That's roughly $250 Under Retail.

He said it would have been worth it for him to fly in from Kona and buy the Beretta even with FFL and shipping

He'd  still save money on the sale price.

 

Planning on going tomorrow and buying either a shot gun or rifle if they got one that's cheap enough.

Went to the show, though there would be more.... guns... Lots of cool stuff, but nothing in my price range. Gonna use my Young Guns coupon though, so got that deal.
