Obviously omitted were RIFLE calibers in the description.  So, another looney-tune with an AR-15 in a school or mall, and the effectiveness of this product is questionable.

How does the panel you are using compared to this?
Its almost similar, the difference between the 2 is the bodyguard model cant defend against a knife attack.

This discussion made me think of panic rooms. Let me start a new thread about that.

Rifle-round-rated armor.  A little heavier than the ballistic panels (7.5 lb), but might be useful for someone.

$185 sale prices good through tomorrow, 8/12, according to their FB post:

Plate Carrier Packages w/ Armor  $185 (more for ergo curved version)

Quote
Rating: AR500 Armor Trauma Plates are stand alone, multi-hit capable, and bench tested to the same armor rating as Type III. Type III Armor will defeat rifle rounds up to 7.62x51/.308 @ 2780 ft/s.

Recent testing provided good results against Federals XM855/SS109 Penetrator Round (Green Tip 5.56). We fired 7 rounds at 15 yards within a 2.5" group and experienced no penetration.

Variety of sizes and colors plus other options.
