Here is today's update:

Henriette Marching Westward Across the Pacific

8/7/2013 8:45:00 PM

We continue to track Hurricane Henriette over the Pacific well east of Hawaii. Henriette's strength has remained steady through Wednesday. However, Henriette appears to be starting to weaken. The cloud pattern has become more ragged looking and the area of very cold cloud tops around the storm center is much smaller than early Wednesday, which means the thunderstorms associated with Henriette are less intense.

Henriette's westward track will cause it to encounter cooler waters in the coming days. This will result in a weakening trend. By Thursday night, it should weaken to a tropical storm. Continued weakening is likely Friday through the weekend. A weak Henriette should pass 300-400 miles south of Hawaii Sunday night into Monday.

She is still on track to weaken and pass south of us...at least that is what the last "weather expert" that I heard was saying.

I am no weather expert so I am wondering if our waters are gonna heat up or what?

My guess is no?

Because it seems like these hurricanes lose energy when they hit our cooler waters, but it is also supposed to be hurricane season too.

So...??
