This kind of stuff has more of an effect on the Wife and I because we have all been "almost" victims at one time or another.

     http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/20110103_Police_cite_speed_in_fatal_car_wreck.html

Unfortunately, for those involved, it is rarely the driver of the crash causing vehicle that gets it.  Lots of innocent victims.

Look at how many lives were directly involved.  Just because a person knows what the steering wheel, throttle and brakes are for does Not
mean they have sufficient experience or maturity to "drive" a motor vehicle at any speed.

Will "insurance" cover losses because "speed/racing" was involved?  If not, then it is a civil lawsuit against those that caused the Crash.
That means if the owner of the vehicle isn't the driver, they can be personally suied, can loose Everything, home included to pay the bill.

If we were the victims, you bet I'd file against Everyone(Not just the driver) in the 2 vehilces that were speeding/racing.

Stuff like this are Preventalbe given proper training Before driver's licenses are given out.

I have always maintained that motor vehicle Owners and licensed drivers should have to go thru the Same restrictions as owners of firearms.

Don't get me started on DUI, alcohol or drug related.

My close family friend was one of the cars involved, he was lucky that he was able to walk away from this one.  My prayers go out to the family of the victims that died, and a speedy recovery to the injured.
