I was an electronic systems designer (electronic engineer) and a lot of my work would entail specifying the type and number of cables in conduit.

So, when people asked me what I do for a living my response was "I'm a wirecounter."

Took me quite a while to figure out what "808" meant.  Figured it was something nativey somehow since a couple of folks use it.  Happened on a Hawaiian phone number by accident, looking at one of the HPD documents someone posted. I finally put 404 and 404 together and got 808.  Aha.

Mine is just a random number of random characters.  My first random pick was 228PL, didn't like it.  Next one was 229QM.  Didn't like it either, so I quit trying to figure out a screen name.

But little did I know how close I came!

A bit later I thought of 230RN.  Aha!  That was gold, so I kept it!

231SO  (See, that doesn't work at all, either.  230RN is juuuuust right.)

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

Mine is a reference to my occupation.  When I first made the screen name, I forgot there was a Transformers character by the same name.

Really?  I always thought it was a reference to the .45 ACP projectile--you know, 230 grain round nose

^ You're right.  I was just waxing silly.  (At my age I can afford to be deliberately silly once in a while.)

The first time I got on one of the boards I was trying to think of a "gunny" screen name and it just so happened there weas a box of .45 hardball on my coffee table, so I used that.  It has nothing to do with "Registered Nurse" or the Bell 230 helicopter which was used for rescue and med-evac work.  Someone asked me if that was the case a long time ago.

If I had known i would be interacting this much on the forum I would have picked a better name but originally I thought I would just browse here to see what the local firearms regulations and "word on the street" would be. Then I discovered a great community I am happy to be a part of.

My username was simply that instead of being "aggressive" in response to a threat, I figure people can be less hot headed and be more "passive" and calm, but when necessary to get "kinetic" to defend in dire circumstances.

RKBA: Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

The primary reason I follow this site is to keep on top of legislation at the State level. So I figured I'd match my screen name with my purpose on being here.

Right on Folks !

This thread turned out way better than I thought it would.

Now a lot of the names make sense.
Makes me wish I chose a cooler name.  O0

Mines is bass monkey cause my former hobby was car audio.  I used to be one of those guys that would be driving around "subbing out" down the street or turning my sounds louder when I hear other people.

Sadly when I was a little kid I wanted to be a pro wrestler in the WWF.  I wanted a name that would be seen as "hawaiian" in the wrestling world.  But alas the dream died shortly after...but the name has stuck with me.

I've been using this online handle for about 12 years now, on various social sites (remember when Xanga and livejournals were a thing?).  I needed to come up with something new on the spot, and thought it was funny since people used to tell me I had these all the time.  Its a stupid, subtle joke that stuck.

Its "big eyebrows" spelled backwards.

Drove a bright green Suzuki Samurai with 35'' tires. Looks like the toy "Stompers" I used to play with as a kid. Been my 4x4 forum screen name for the last six years.

Nah, its for the love of the AK.... I grew up in the late 80's early 90's, and everything

on TV was about Glocks, Sawed off shotguns and AK47's O0

My dad was a Green Beret in Vietnam... He almost never spoke about his time there...

He told me once that the Vietcong would duct tape the AK magazines together and

call them Banana Clips......
