Hawaii's thoughts on HI POINT Firearms?
Wouldn't mind having 3 or 4 more guns for under $800.
Quantity can be good, too.
Thoughts/ Comments appreciated.

Got a Glock 36, PWS MK114, S&W .38 Special, and Maverick 88 Shotgun
Spent a pretty penny.
No regrets.
LOVE my firearms now.
Would rather spend smarter, and have MORE guns.

Just thinking out loud.

Mahalo!!

Awkward, very large mass at the top of the frame, strange controls, lack of supporting equipment and armorers.  Not my gun.  From the guys who have shot them on range days, they have had some issues.

The thing is freaking ugly too.  That's like being a pimp, and being like "Yeah... I got this really fat chick here that no one wants to bang, but shes mine."  What good is that?

Please recommend low priced firearms.
(Bang for your buck)

Not ALL firearms under $200 is bad.

Thanks, in advance.

keep in mind, high point pistols are cast zinc alloy. The alloy is called ZAMAK-3 and melts at 718-727 F.

Almost every gun owner goes through the same phases at one point or the other.

One of those phases is the "I want a bunch of guns" phase.
Typically, finances dictate that in order for you to acquire lots of guns quickly is to buy cheap ones.

One of the last phases gun guys go through is the "I want high quality guns" phase.

It is at this point that you want nothing more than to get rid of the cheap crap guns you've acquired and buy good stuff.

Save yourself the money and heartache. Buy good, high quality guns. You'll never regret it.

IMO current circumstances demand defense now, high quality later.
With $800 you can get 4 HP 380 with +500rds defending the four sides of your home vs
defending one side of your home with less than 500rds.

Thus which is home defense, defending one side which is incomplete or four sides which is complete?

Quality and reliability?  Watch the four videos.

I own a Hipoint C9 and it works great.  Goes bang every time if you don't slow ride the slide and youtube test show its damn near indestructible unless you shoot it with a rifle.  Better to have a gun and not need it rather then need it and not have it and a Hipoint if cheap enough that it can be left in your glovebox /trunk/back pack/boat or whatever and be there for you.  Personally, My Hipoint has saved my life while my $3000+ guns were sitting in a safe at home not doing crap!

you do get use to the top heavy design and the recoil is very low due to it.  It also has a 3rd party warranty which last forever which is the best in the business and if you do have to send it in, they usually ship it back to you with a free mag which pays for shipping.  My friend has one and he some how broke the plastic side of the handle and they replaced it for him free of charge.  Sent him the replacement part and a free mag for free (they paid for shipping and everything).  Customer service is the best and the guns are inherently accurate for their barrel length as its pinned to the frame.

It is not a bulls eye gun but its very easy to hit an ispc target at 10 yards and put all the shots in quick rapid succession in the A zone.  It's good for teaching newbies as they can drop it and bang it around or what not and it will be fine.

when you ask most guys which have just seen it and not shot one, they always say they are crap but all the people which I know which own one love them.
