You know, I actually used to like Obama when he was running for the first term... He always came across as being more intelligent and more level headed in debates.. And of course if we had McCain, we would also have had Sarah Palin. I wouldn't put that stupid broad in charge of a Chinese sweat shop, sure as hell wouldn't want her running the country.

Romney seemed like a weasely little bastard if I ever saw one and his VP .. paul ryan... Where the hell did this smirky little shit come from?

Obama is a lying POS that has no regard for the constitution nor do his cronies that are running the place. Republican party needs to get their ass in gear next election and find some decent real world people. Ted Nugent...Are you listening?

So based on your track record regarding Obama, your opinion of some of the Republican candidates could also be off-base, huh?

A wise man once told me, "opinions change over time" and "one's opinions should never be set in stone"...

That's fine for those who are not totally familiar with a subject or who base their opinions on fluid and difficult to understand facts.

We are discussing a man who ran on a platform comprised of assurances, promises, and idealistic rhetoric.  Are you saying it's not a problem if the man you voted for BECAUSE of his promises and assurances decides to do a 180 from what he told you he would do?

That's not a wise man.  That's a bait-and-switch salesman.

If he had an erroneous opinion based on incorrect (or worse, no) facts,
OR if he is just telling you what he thinks you want to hear because it's opposite from what Bush did (going after the anti-Bush crowd),
then he is NOT the person he portrayed himself to be during the campaign.

Basically, you're okay with being lied to as long as the man has a reason for changing his mind ...
AFTER he already got what he wanted from you ... your vote!

Just seeing if I read you right.

Problem I see with politics is they all just blow smoke and tell people what they want to hear. Rarely ever do you hear them say things people don't like, or something not "p.c." People in society need to just suck it up and accept some people say things you might not like. Tough! Cant make everybody happy. I don't think people are going to fall for this BS next election. At least not the ones paying attention.

I agree with the blowing smoke.  However, I think people will totally fall for the BS next election.  They always do.  I find it funny that every four years you hear the same things but from didfferent people.  Gonna change everything.  The other guys are doing it wrong.  Then, they get elected and nothing changes, absolutely nothing!
It is what it is.
