Aluminum case 230g .45 acp for Glock 21?
« on: August 22, 2013, 01:08:21 PM »
Can I get any/all opinions on using CCI Blazer aluminum cased 230g .45 acp ammo in a Glock 21?
Any functionality or reliability issues with aluminum cases?
Any input at all would be appreciated!

No personal experience with the glock unfortunately, but its never given me a single hiccup in my XDM. I've probably shot close to 400 rounds of blaser thru it since I bought it a couple years ago.  Then again, its never given me any problems with any ammo.

Your best bet is to buy a box of it and see how your gun likes it.

Friend of mine with G21 Gen4.  No problems with the Blazers, and I've been with him almost every time he's gone to KHSC.

I use CCI aluminum quite a bit.

I've never had a problem at all with it.

It feeds and ejects reliably in my Glock 21

I gather you're an ak guru, so I figured I'd ask.......I posted a question about Tula vs brown ear 762x39 ammo on general, but especially regarding polymer vs lacquer coated steel. The questions pertain to use in a colt AR15 type 6830, but I figure u must have learned opinions about the ammo regardless. Any opinions?

I'm not a big fan of the 7.62 AR rifles.

I know in an AK, I run absolutely every kind of ammo with no problems.

My buddy gave me a case that sat in his humid closet for 20 years.

The rounds are all rusty and smell of mildew.

I shot em up with no problems.

If you want to know about the 7.62x39 AR platform, Speedtek is the one to ask. He has done extensive work on the platform.
