I'm guessing 400-600rds between 5 or 6 rifles in 22LR, 5.45, 5.56,.30-06, & 7.62. Handgun wise, about 200 ea. of 9mm & .40...

300-400 =22lr (get tired of loading mags after that many)
100 =17hmr
100-140 =5.45

depends..I usually bring about 150rds for each pistol, 100rds for each rifle, and a brick of 500rds .22s

I am surprised at the quantity of ammo that some of you are burning. Perhaps a better question would be how many rounds per month do you expend? I just cannot imagine anybody blowing off hundreds and hundreds of rounds on a regular basis. Unless you are competing in matches.

yeah, good idea...since some shoots more often than others...Maybe, we should have another thread, how often you go to the range and shoot per month...maybe, i'll start one.

I hit the range 2 -3 times a month, and what I posted is pretty much what I expend each time... I just really enjoy shooting & sharing the experience friends I guess

Tough question, I just shoot until my thirst satisfied! And until I overdose on the smell of gun powder! But I barely head to the range. Only if I want to here gongs ringing and want to hit anything farther then a 100yrds, I'm lazy to pack up now, so I just plink on the farm now, until we harvest crops that is in the way. It's hard to conserve but it's our addiction! At least were not spending it on crystal meth, crack, 99cent hookers and orange kittens!

hey 338 KID, I've been on the market for a M98B and you posted a pic of one while back, I have a read reviews and watched the crap load of YouTube videos. I just want to know the pro's and con's of the rifle, and if it was a good investment. Thanks brother.

Ah yes the 98b As a owner of one and also an Accuracy International AX338  I must say I like the 98b more . It's around 2 pounds lighter , a little more forgiving on the shoulder and holds a better grouping. On the 98b I normally run a .5 or .62 at a hundred . With the AX I would hold a .75 which ain't bad numbers on 338 with factory 285 bthp from Hornady . To me you can't beat the 98b  when it come to a 338 but my brother just ordered an DTA SRS 338 . So I'll do my comparison on both in a month. When kr3 opens back up I'll have it there we can talk and I'll let you take a few shots .

No problem I should have all 3 338's there lol a little rivalry going on so yeah when it happens lets do it . I want to get my hands on that DTA 338 tho been hearing some good things on it .

Usually shoot 100-200 22lr
About 40 12 gauge slugs
About 100-150 .223 rounds
About 50 .45gap
And another 50 9mm

When i first started shooting it was so much fun i just wanted to  shoot as much as i could as fast as i could . 300 rds in an hour. Now that i got the urge to shoot outta my system i relax and and focus more on precision while still having fun.

Today, at the LIFE fun shoot, I burned 100 rounds of .45 acp.  Moved to rhe rifle range and shot 40 rounds of 30-06 (25 of which was a reshoot of the MOA challenge) then went back to the fun shoot for 50 rounds of .22 and maybe 20 rounds of other people's ammo in assorted calibers.  I consider this representative of my typical post-Obamascare consumption, and I average 3 range visits per month.

Hehe, I used to go once a week but cut back to once a month when ammo became scarce post-ObamaScare.

Maybe I might go more frequently now that ammo is becoming more available.
