at kokohead? maybe if it were action shooting or rapid-fire at a shorter range. shooting 25 yds (pistol side) or 50 yds (sillhouette side) at a static target makes me bored even thinking about it.

I don't think there's right and wrong when it comes to hitting the target--it all depends on which game you like.  If you like action and reactive targets, try skeet--it's much more difficult than it looks.

I've been shooting rifles quite a bit lately, but once I've got them zeroed in it gets boring real quick.  Punching the steel at 240 (or whatever it is) is more challenging but after 10-20 rounds I'm satisfied and quit to conserve ammo.

I find it much more challenging to try and keep all my pistol shots in the 10 ring at 25 yards, so I usually burn a lot more ammo when shooting handguns.  That, and I've got more handguns than rifles so there's more to shoot.
