Effective, cost effective laser scope and night vision set
« on: August 25, 2013, 09:12:09 PM »
I saw a YouTube video of a guy shooting an AR with a laser scope and night vision goggles, and I thought it might be cool to do with a Ruger 10-22. Do you know of any 100-150 yard laser scopes that are cost effective (<$200) and compatible with night vision goggles? Or is there a better night vision setup to consider? I like the idea of separate goggles so I can look around more freely, but I don't know if it really matters... Anyway, thanks for your consideration!

All you need is a good set of NVGs and an IR marker and you are good to go.

The problem is finding NVGs.

I got that!  :)

Works with  the NV mode on my Aimpoint.  Invisible "red dot" can be seen only with NV in that mode.  Very cool!

Thanks, guys! Yeah, the NVGs are definitely set me back quite a bit. I will need to buy that later (if I can convince the wife... ;)). Is there a scope I could use in the meantime that will allow me to shoot during the day too?

I found this on Amazon, but I'm not sure how great it is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B004TDPQ26/?tag=2ahawaii-20
