I have an AK dust cover but it has a rail on it.
Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

The only thing is being a gun guy really screws things up for you.

For example.

At first glance that is a badass AK, complete with cool laser pointy thing and large heads up display.

But...

When you put on your gun guy goggles...

You see that the display is super high and doesn't provide a proper cheek weld.

In fact it's the first time I've ever seen a mouth weld.

Good catch KK.

Looks like it's the old mouth against the back of receiver weld.

Macsak should love that.

The only way to do that is to redesign the top cover
So it locks in solid.  The side mound is the best option.

If I wasn't planning on taking off my Ultimak and switching back to using the side rail, I would get this top cover with the integrated left-sided charging handle.  Seems pretty mean.
