  Well I am officially living in Washington State....it is freaking cold! I already miss Oahu! I have a message for TSA..."FU, you thieving bastards!" See I flew Alaskan Air and transported some ammo in an ammo can. When I checked my baggage and declared my ammunition and the airline was fine with my ammo in the can packed inside a suitcase. Just as I was boarding the plane, the airline calls me over to the counter and informs me that TSA took my ammo that was not in the original packages (I had two 100 round bags of 9mm). I don't understand how the I meet the airlines requirements and effing TSA comes and steals my shit! I hope they enjoy shooting my ammo at Kokohead...bastards!

Washington State huh?  Well at least you'll have the option to get a suppressor to keep you "warm".   Seems the rules around how much ammo you can bring with you are subject to a broad interpretation - "...designed to carry small amounts...".  To me in my un-lawyer like opionion the problem wasn't with your choice of container but the amount of ammo.  To you and I 200 rounds is a nice day at the range, but to others that's a crapload.

Washington state where your free to own what u want and can smoke pot..I love Washington considered moving there many times myself.  Good luck fellow 2@hawaii brother

I don't think they stole it. Per the regulations it must be transported in the original box, the plastic cases used for reloading are also suitable. ziplock bags in an ammo can. Not acceptable.


Don't get me wrong. TSA is just a government dog and pony show. Airline let it fly because majority of the time they do not even know what the regulations are anyway. I have always had to explain to the ticket agents what needed to be done.

Yeah I had the same drama with ammo last month in New York. Even though I followed Delta Airline policy to the "T" and had the policy printed out in hand, I still had to be questioned by the Port Authority Police.
Finally when the cop showed up; I declared what I had, showed him they were in plastic boxs, and sounded like I wasnt a dumb ass,  I was good to go. That was an hour later and they still made an incident report...

Key for traveling with ammo is it must be in the original box or in the plastic ammo boxs that divides each round and be under the airline ammo weight allowance( 8 lbs for delta)

Sucks to hear about your ammo situation but you never know with TSA They Steal Anything. I would check out advanced armament corp for a silencer, but which ever one u decide on you need to make of video of u shooting it and post it up on here!!  Have fun up there.
