Will this affect the whole complex or just certain areas?

No. The other areas of the range will be open.

Would this be appropriate to bring my whole family too? I have a 6yr old and a 7 month old.

There's usually a lot of shooting going on.
In my opinion, it's kind of hard to keep hearing protection on a 7 month old baby.
The 6 year old will probably love it.
Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Thank you to everyone that was involved in the event. I took Kingkeoni's advice and just took my 6 yr old. We had a blast and I got some good information on the local hunting scene. It motivated us so much we went hunting off of pali hwy tonight. Had a few run behind us but none gave us a good clean shot.
