Need Ideas for my Brass Catcher

I got a net from my dad but this one is different. It's made out of rubber so it kinda holds its shape. The net itself is slightly heavier than normal types but the frame it comes with is pretty heavy. We took the net off and put it on another lightweight frame. I cut the handle shorter to save more weight. The brand of the net is Promar and I believe mine is 18" x20". I may go with the smaller one if this works out fine. I should've asked my dad a long time ago about nets since he's a hardcore fisherman. http://www.promarnets.com/promar/Products.aspx?Cat=3&Item=11

I went to a music store and found some microphone stands. This one can telescope and I think the base is heavy enough. I used an alligator clip mount which works but I don't think it's strong enough. It does hold the handle good but when I tilt it the weight of the net just makes it tilt too much. I used Velcro to stop it.

This one is a portable microphone stand that can also telescope. I believe I have to add at least a 10lb plate to the base so it doesn't tip over.

Should I go with a smaller net to save weight? Will the smaller net be good enough to catch the brass?

How can I tilt the net but prevent it from tilting too much? I tried using a gooseneck but that just falls over. I was thinking of zip tying two goosenecks. Do I even need to tilt the net?
Google it cause every question is a dumb question.

You must be an engineer. I just use a cardboard box to catch the brass. I put a box or two of ammo in the box to weigh it down or lay the right side of the front rest on the bottom edge of the box to keep it from blowing away.
I would be afraid that hot rifle brass might burn holes in the net. I've had hot Garand brass melt plastic.

It looks like a lot to haul around. Especially if you have to add an extra 10 lbs to the base.
Then there is all your guns and ammo, targets, target frame, etc. etc. etc.
