You know they are.

What a coincidence that it just happen to happen in the nations capitol......on a military base........using the very type of rifle they're trying to ban.  They're probably going to milk this tragedy for all they can.

If you saw the president talking earlier about the incident you may have noticed it sounded like he is going to try to use this to once again push gun control. Of course, I do not think its going to have the steam behind it that sandy hook did but I doubt that will stop the push.

Well I'M just relieved D.C. fixed it so no one had a carry permit in that building - just imagine the 'OK Corral' type scenario and innocent bystander bloodshed that would have resulted!

Yeah, especially given that cops in LA and NYC seem to always hit bystanders or open fire on the wrong people... But I don't hear the liberal left calling for them to turn in their guns!

It's now being reported that the shooter is a Buddhist. Or at least was a practicing Buddhist in the past. Something tells me this will either be attributed to mental illness or a recent conversion to the 'religion of peace' a.k.a. Islam.

The gunman used an AR-pattern rifle, but he acquired it during the shooting.  NBC Washington originally reported that he got it from a police officer he ambushed, but later revised that to say he got it from a gun safe.  I think the first report was probably true; unless the folks at the Navy Yard's armory are in the habit of leaving gun safes open.  At any rate, he didn't have the rifle until after the start, it seems the surveillance footage shows him with a shotgun and pistol initially.

i wonder if he even used an AR-15, or if they're just using this situation to demonize "assault weapons" like they did with sandy hook.

I watched NBC nightly news, I think they have a fair unbiased representation of the days news and Brian Williams is very calming to listen to.. much like Morgan Freeman.... anyway... I also watched it unfolding throughout the day on Fox. After nightly news ended I was flipping down the channels and saw that stupid twat pierce morgan was on... Figured he would be spouting off about guns.. sure enough he was. Watched that for a little bit.

Really pisses me off how he still has a tv program, The guy just endlessly rants and raves like a little child. Saying the shooter had an AR15 he legally purchased. (really? None of the other news reported that information. In-fact what they said was the guy shot other personnel and stole their weapon) Fact of the matter is we really do not know what happened yet it is purely speculation.

These damn mass shootings do seem to be happening quite often these days. Probably because people continuously see it on the news and the attention it gets and think it is a great idea. They are still talking about that whack job in Aurora, CO. What really irks me though is people like pierce morgan get on tv and get to relentlessly spew utter bullshit and totally ignore the facts. What a disservice to the people of this country and the world.

I think that every single person with half a brain should go on his show and just sit there in silence the whole time and make a total mockery of it.

I say after the 'new revolution', we round up all these tards and bring back gladiator fighting.

I vote for piers to fight 3 hives of army ants with his bare hands.

I think I'd rather create an "Escape from New York" type prison area full of all the Liberal idiots and gun control nuts.  Then drop Piers in the middle along with a couple dozen gang members and a couple dozen more violent criminals.

I'd want video wherever he goes, so we can see how easily Piers talks his way out of trouble.  Talking is ALWAYS better than physical confrontation, as he likes to say!

Too bad we just couldn't divide the who state into gun and non-gun areas... Things will be clear once everyone sees where the criminals migrate to! Wait, we already have those zones, yet nobody seems to notice the trend...
