Some of LEO's get out to the range on their own, which is great. Many don't like firearms at all, and don't practice anymore than required to maintain proficiency.

Friend of mine with HPD stated it in the best way possible.

"Many of the officers treat firearms like a carpenter treats his hammer. Its nothing more than a tool for them."

There are deffinently many LEO's who push for firearm safety and 2nd amendment rights. But for the vast majority, it's like Funtimes said, it's simply a tool that they need to qualify with once a year.

I won't get to deep into this but I know a lot of LEO's that got into law enforcement for many different reasons. There is a lot that actually get into it for "LAW ENFORCEMENT".. ::)..like anything else, the bad apples always ruin it for everyone... :-\
