If I'm able to swap out the uppers to shoot multiple calibers, then an AR15 instead of the AK.

I'd go for something that ammo was most plentiful...  any firearm that is reliable and can shoot the plentiful ammo, really, that would probably be the best bet.

Interesting choices! :-)

By the way, these are not necessarily the ones you already have.

That is, you are not "saving" the guns you have, but you are buying brand new (with your theoretical money).

Sure, some folks are adding all sorts of after-market accessories and mods, optics, etc. but the interest is in the basic platform(s).

To liven things up a bit, how about we modify the question, and ask you also to PRIORITIZE them.

For example, in my case, with the Glock 17 and the AR-15, if I had to pick only ONE out of the two, I would pick the Glock 17.

The handgun is definitely not as powerful but it is handy and more portable.
