Yes,
civilians have no need for motorized transport.
They have legs. They can walk.
Only security personnel need to be able to get to the scene of an "incident" quickly.
If they really need some kind of transport vehicle, they can get licensed for pedal-action transport (per the maximum allowable wheel size and gear ratio of their State).
This not only saves lives, it reduces global warming and our dependence on foreign crude supplies.
It also boosts the local economy due to higher consumption of carbohydrates. Thus, it grows jobs on farm and non-farm payrolls.
This is what America is all about isn't it? Jobs!
If you do not stand against automobiles, then you do not stand for America.
