Thinking about a compensator
« on: October 07, 2013, 10:23:08 AM »
I've just started an AR-15 build (yes, I can hear the gasps from here.  Get over it, people... the AR platform is 70 years old!).  I'm thinking of a Daniel Defense barrel, LW profile, 14.5" long.  Can you make a brake/compensator that will stretch the barrel length to a legal 16"?  And, preferably, one that violates the laws of physics by not making the gun offensive to neighboring shooters.  What ballpark cost would we be talking?
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.
