To the jackass(es) shooting across at other people's targets and frames

I though it was ricochet of some kind but my neighbor who was shooting the smallbore match had the same type of hole in the 9 ring. When we both looked at our targets I noticed I had a hole completely off the bullseye @ 9 o'clock in the white and one in the leg of my frame.
Don't be bitching about no rules because of assholes like you we must have rules. I remember Kokohead supplied frames, then shooters would bring back bits and pieces of it. So now we must bring our own.

You'd think people would be less likely to intentionally behave like that around folks with guns!   :wtf:

Out of curiosity, do you expect that shooter to be reading this FLAME?  (pun intended!)

Do you suspect it was intentional?

Just curious.  The more details, the better informed we all are.

If they're hitting the legs of your frame it doesn't sound like it was done deliberately.  The shot in the nine ring, I'm not sure how someone could do that accidentally; maybe they confused your target for theirs?   It's a public range with shooters of all skill levels.  You can't expect everybody to be an expert marksman their first time out.

The holes were coming in at an extreme angle from the right side of the rifle range, my neighbor's target and mine. We both had bulls on our and they managed to get in the black on his and out of the black at 9 o clock on mine. I doubt if it was that guy shooting a shotty.

Maybe they never know they not supposed to do that.  I took one of my friend shooting one time, he never been to the range.  I didn't even notice until the guy next to me said, "Eh, tell your friend stop shooting at my target."  Lucky cause the guy was pretty cool about it.  I was just hoping that he never blow the guys frame up.  I never told him he couldn't do it but just figured he would know better.  Sometimes something that seems like common sense to you or me might not be apparent to others.  If they was doing it on purpose yeah your title pretty much sums it up.

I had a similar situation but his buddy didn't even apologize for it, just looked at me. It was a clean target I had just stapled and I was starting my string of 10 rounds standing, when a cluster of three holes appeared.

I noticed it when guys share a target sitting on 2 different benches. Depending on where the target is situated one guy is shooting across at 50 yards which probably goes over couple lanes if he misses or goes through the target.

Good point.  I sometimes walk to the 50 yd target line, look back for my lane location, and it's almost impossible in some lanes to tell which leg holes are the right ones!

At least  at the pistol side, they number the target positions.  On rifle side, it's confusing.  I bet many 100 yd targets have accidental holes from 50 yd shooters in the wrong lane.

I'd be pissed too...doesn't seem too accidental to me.

Was your friend shooting a metal gong at 100 yards?

I had to tell someone to not shoot at my target a couple of times.

Telling the ROs is a good move. They take that kind of thing seriously. They'll male an announcement on the PA then stalk up and down the line looking for transgressors.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Oops sorry I thought you could shoot at anyone's target.

To me all the targets look the same. Unless you have a name on them!

You should put some sights on your guns and you should listen to the ROs about not shooting at other people's targets (property). Especially since the smallbore shooters had a match going on you ruined another shooter's string of fire. BTW, ever notice other vendors/shops here acting like an assclown?

Ren, he's just pushing your buttons. He doesn't even shoot on that side of the range.
