We don't care but the RSO did. He put something up so it won't go flying. The guy next to us was shooting .22 but he only swept up after like 100 rounds which was causing a slip hazard. Having a net was very convienent.

I guess one could always attempt to setup a hokey goal net as a brass catcher.  :D

I would be happy if all flies over my head and goes into the net.  Free brass.

That was a great shot.

What kind of gun was he shooting?

Was it an all black AK?

I never shot my old SKS without wearing a hat because of flying brass steel casings.

What do you all think about slinging brass?  What an inconsiderate a**hole.........or it's a shooting range what do you expect.  I'm kind of with the it's a shooting range what do you expect.  I get brass to my temple all the time at the handgun side.  I'm with some of the other guys, if it ends up on my table than that's free brass for me.

Both to a certain degree. If it's flying out hard like in the video, you should take some consideration for your neighbors. Getting hit by brass is not a big deal to me but when you or your nice firearm are getting hit constantly it gets pretty annoying. I really don't want my $2,000 scope to get scratched.  :grrr: That was the main reason why I use a net. My Steyr Aug shoots out pretty hard and far and if you get hit it does sting a little. I got cut on the lip when I was filming my wife.

As for .22s, those are hot when it hits you but generally not a big deal. Just clean up more regularly as if you would reload them. Don't just let it pile up cause you know nobody is going to steal them. The guy next to us left about a 100 rounds before cleaning up. All over our table, bags, under our table, etc.
Google it cause every question is a dumb question.
