I wish other stores would post their inventory and prices on their websites. Save both of us the phone call.

I wish other stores would do more to support NRA, HRA, and HDF. Perfect opportunity (when buying or browsing guns and accessories) to get people involved and to understand that if we just sit back we may wake up one day not not have our guns and ammo.

Not to derail the KGS/Daniel discussion, I would like to address the quotes below.

Both quotes below snipped.

I'm the kind of guy that likes to read and do my research before hand. He is one of the only gun shop owners with a website that is regularly updated and has his prices listed. Other gun shops on Island to be very... tight lipped about their prices and stock which makes it nearly impossible to comparison shop (which I suppose, is the intent).

You mentioned KGS is one of the only shops with a website update regularly with prices, who is the other DCT?

I wish all shops would have a site with inventory and pricing too. It gets me when shops tweet or post here some thing is on sale but then don't list a price and say to call the shop for pricing, WTF.

I wish other stores would post their inventory and prices on their websites. Save both of us the phone call.

Do you know about this shop Danger Close Tactical and their website? http://www.danger-close-tactical.com

Okay now back to the KGS/Daniel gripe bitch and love fest.

I like Daniel I don't get to his shop often I do go if on that side of the island. I first went when he was still in the upper right corner of the building. Like he says of you don't like him or his shop go open your own!

From the perspective of the customer, we can shop somewhere else. I didnt get the level of service from him as other have and I never did anything that was part of his current warning. I listened to him and his views with an open ear.

Wish him the best of luck in his business model. He certainly has his customer base.
I'm grateful for the better gun shops we have on island.

I bought a rifle, some lowers, and parts from Daniel.
I didn't have any problem with any of the purchases, didn't have any problem with Daniel.
he was quite informative of the rifle and the parts and the lowers.
saw him at the range a couple weeks ago and spoke to him briefly.
nothing out of the ordinary, in my opinion.
I would buy again from him.

I remember going there just after Obama got elected and prices had jumped but settled back down a bit. He had a some stripped lowers that he was trying to sell me with the "better get it now" pitch. I knew he was right, but didn't want to go through the PITA registration for something I would never use. Shortly after that Sandy Hook happened and there were some regrets, but more importantly it was very interesting to see how he had his finger on the pulse of the political climate of the day. Daniel does do tons for the local 2A community with the shooting fair, fun shoots, awareness, etc. If you're not ready for his honest opinion and a possibility of not agreeing with you, don't ask for it because he IS honest. He is a no-nonsense advocate who stands behind what he sells and what believes in. I bought my first gun and some hard to find items from him that other stores didn't have.

He definitely does a lot for the "2a community" but let's be honest, "Honest" is not the best word to describe him.
His poor attitude does more damage for the 2a community than good.

I know for a fact that he turns off people with his "I'm the best and I know everything, if you don't agree with me, you're stupid." attitude.

Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Non-verbal communication problems: difficulty reading body language, facial expression and tone
Word repetition (they may frequently repeat what you've just said)
Excellent rote memory
FOCUSING ON THE POSITIVE:
Focus and diligence – The Asperger ability to focus on tasks for a long period of time without needing supervision or incentive is legendary.
Internal motivation – as opposed to being motivated by praise, money, bills or acceptance. This ensures a job done with conscience, with personal pride.
Independent, unique thinking – people with AS tend to spend a lot of time alone and will likely have developed their own unique thoughts as opposed to a ‘herd’ mentality.
Higher fluid intelligence – scientists in Japan have recently discovered that AS children have a higher fluid intelligence than non-autistic children. Fluid intelligence is "the ability to find meaning in confusion and solve new problems. It is the ability to draw inferences and understand the relationships of various concepts, independent of acquired knowledge.” (Wikipedia 2009) Experts say that those with AS have a higher than average general IQ as well.
Visual, three-dimensional thinking – some with AS are very visual in their thought processes, which lends itself to countless useful and creative applications.
Attention to detail – sometimes with painstaking perfection.
Honesty – the value of being able to say “the emperor isn’t wearing any clothes.”
Logic over emotion – although people with AS are very emotional at times, we spend so much time ‘computing’ in our minds that we get quite good at it. We can be very logical in our approach to problem-solving.
Relationships
We Can often be distant physically and/or emotionally.
Often are attracted to another purely because they are attracted to us
Alternatively, we can be obsessive
May have a hard time saying I love you, showing physical affection
We can be very critical
We takes things personally
We can be very loyal to one person
Often times we will make no motions to keep a friendships going
We need to withdraw and have solitude
Men in particular find emotions messy and unquantifiable; If partner tries to share her love for him, he may find her need to “connect” smothering
Our attention is narrowly focused on our own interests
Men with undiagnosed AS often feel as if their partner is being ungrateful or “bitchy” when she complains he is uncaring or never listens to her
He can become quite defensive when she asks for clarification or a little sympathy. The defensiveness can turn into verbal abuse (usually not physical abuse) as the man attempts to control the communication to suit his view of the world.
Social Interactions
Desire for friendships and social contact but difficulty acquiring and maintaining them
Shuts down in social situations
Social withdrawal / may avoid social gatherings
Lack of interest in other people
Lack of empathy at times
Difficulty understanding others’ feelings
Can obsess about having friends to prove they’re “normal”
Rigid social behavior due to an inability to spontaneously adapt to variations in social situations
Has an urge to inform that can result in being blunt / insulting
Preoccupied with their own agenda
Great difficulty with small-talk and chatter

ANYBODY YOU KNOW?

Firearms buddies I know don't have AS but if you self-diagnose yourself with AS make sure you disclose this when you apply for a permit to acquire.
