Alright fellow shooters dec 28 th will be carbine training. We have redone the curriculum to facilitate the wide array of participants.  So here it goes;
Range set up at 730 am / sign in registration and waivers
101 new shooters instruction 8 am -845am
Regular Instructional training from 9am - 12pm
Free shoot 12noon - 150pm
Range sweep 150pm -2pm
Closed range instruction 2pm - 4pm
These new format is to facilitate the growth of the organization and the wide variety of skill levels that attend. Now we are all able to advance our skills whether it be 101 or advanced we can all learn. :thumbsup:

talked to kanoa this past wednesday and he recommended bringing 400 rnds of rifle.  this might sound alot but I'm sure we wont be shooting that much.  Its good to bring extra rnds anyways.

Ooo.. I'll be able to make this one if the stork hasn't arrived yet.

LOL, 400 rounds... Can I bring a 22LR carbine?
I think, therefore I am armed.

yes although this has been asked before. So bottom line is this training time is valuable and we recommend using the firearm you would most likely use in the real situation.  Now if you came to the range day frequently then ok yea use the .22 but if you don't then operating your actual equipment so that you benefit 100% would be my recommendation. 2nd opinion is maybe warm up with the .22 then switch to operating your actual equipment. I'll be there with a +1.

interested. What kind of equipment should I bring. I'm coming from a HP background but I could use some of my Army issued stuff to train.

well lets see on days that we train carbine a functional sling, mag pouches, spare mags and a system to mount them to ( belt or chest rig). Keep in mind we do some dynamic drills which require low position and running. So equipment functionality is vital can't have your mags flying out when running or recovering from prone. Pistol your gonna need a holster one that is secure and unobstructed by clothing, mag pouches

I may do this since I have an M&P 15-22 which is almost like my AR-15. Thank you for the suggestion.

See, as long as you keep saying "carbine," I'll keep coming back!

Not to get too side tracked but I was wondering if this store was still active.

http://www.hawaiidefensefoundation.org/store/apparel/

I wanted to buy a HDF t-shirt and googled it and got this link. I was about to order but noticed this store is not directly linked on the HDF website (if it is I can't find it).
